The after math of the Paris killings , European governments have announced heightened need for cyber security. Do you think this means jackpot for the IT security professionals , as it may become a well paid job in the next few years . What say?
Re: IT security
Well cyber security is a very hot prespect in terms of career everywhere right now as well. I think its #1](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=1) paid jobs in IT right now in US. And I’m sure it’ll more lucrative as the time passes.
But the question is, will they trust a cyber security engineer with a muslim background? ![]()
Re: IT security
I don’t see why not. Translator are trusted with foreign missions. If you possess the skills then you’re no longer a choice, you become a necessity. It’s not men/women who elevate or degrade your status, it is Allah (swt) that opens unknown doors for all humans; muslims and non-muslims alike.
Re: IT security
Awesome! Thats what I am doing these days. Looking forward to making a ton of money! lol

sidney pai, this is amreeka. no one important gives a duck what you are if you can make something of value.
arent you in IT? FireEye - the hottest cyber network security company is founded and run by a brilliant muslim pakistani man.
Re: IT security
I, as a non-IT person, have been encouraging IT people to pursue careers in cybersecurity for the last 18 to 24 months. It is the hottest career market right now, regardless of which sector you service or whether you come in as a consultant (healthcare, defense, government, financial services, retail - everyone is impacted and needs cybersecurity programs).
I attended a seminar on cybersecurity for both public and private sector firms, hosted by law enforcement and the message throughout was everyone and their mother needs to ramp up, and then continually evolve their cybersecurity programs. That obviously means awareness, training, staffing, and documented practices and testing/monitoring against those practices. Which of course means more cybersecurity personnel - both internal staff and consultants.
