Is Pakistan a good place to do my IT placement for 3 months in summer? What IT companies are located in Pakistan?

What are your skills? Which city are you planning to go to?

I think it is called Internship in Pakistan but it is sort of like that. Lahore, Multan, ISB, any of these 3 cities mainly Lahore.
I am undergraduate student and my course is computing science , basically programming.

What language? I can share names of companies based in Islamabad. Have very limited information about Lahore though. You can try google search with the keyword 'software house' or search on the job sites like rozee.pk or mustakbil.com. Generally companies don't place advert for internships but at least you'll know the names and locations etc.

And yes, I was talking about Pakistan Software export board. At one point it was mandatory for all IT and ITES companies to get registered with PSEB so the list of companies was provided on their site. Haven't checked the site lately though.

Tell me your field is IT? I have done Java, JavaScript, Oracle SQL, Assembly, HTML, XHTML, CSS and PHP,haven't done C. What is the time limit ,i mean do they only take students for a year or 3/6 months? Is it paid or unpaid?

I manage operations of a small software house and its been 3 years running that. Overall 10 years of experience in IT and ITES. I am not a programmer myself though. (Thank God ;))

Internship duration and compensation depends on the company policy, generally its 2-3 months. Any small setup wouldn't generally pay you for the internship. Government funded internship program offers a stipend of 10k per month and duration is a year.
