So Safy got hired as a consultant contractor and will be doing the job remote and I was looking at IT jobs in Pakistan and Glassdor is showing you can hire fulltime IT person in Pak for Rs. 75000.00
I am suggesting to him that he should look at hiring a fulltime person in Pak and maybe expand a bit. Can anyone offer suggestions. With Pk Rs. Falling, it could be economical to hire in PK.
I think I will tell him to get in touch with NUST, they maybe can recommend someone. It seems like 70,000 Pk Rs should be a competitive wage. I think KHI has lots of outages, maybe LHR maybe good. Is there something I need to know. The other issue will be transferring money. How do people transfer money. I sent some money to Europe for Canoe Kayak and transfer fee was very high.
The employee will need to work nights, it might be good experience for someone wanting to immigrate.
15 years ago, used to be PKR.100K for a senior IT role I guess. & PKR.70K for a mid career managerial role in any field. Now due to conditions, may have gone quite low. Not been in touch with the market for many years so dont know. Yeah checking with FAST or NUST may be a good idea. Western Union is the most common. Never tried though. All my cousins in IT left Pakistan years ago.
Entry level for all fields had gone extremely low from what I checked during luCCha khan government. He brought a bigger mafia along with newer corrupt to suck blood together with the older. Maybe not so much for IT professionals though.
FAST & NUST both were the best unis of Pakistan until 15-20 years ago. Every student coming out of those was good & hired quickly by best companies locally as well as foreign. Now, do not know whether they were able to maintain the quality of education because not been in touch with the market for many years.
Giving short paid assignments to a potential candidate before hiring full time would be a good idea. But due to good market demand of FAST / NUST students, they would expect better package for entry level too. But currently what the conditions are only a professional active in the field would know.
Best IT professionals have already left the country so yes for entry level, the fresh lot of students would be a better choice. Currently, I don't know anyone in job market of Pakistan (in any field) but will try to find out from classifieds.
Pop music in Pakistan also not doing well for many years just like everything else. More drama, junk, noise than quality. Every single business area has been under attack by the global mafia. Focus is on forcing as many Pakistanis as possible to leave the country taking along their assets with them including their brains.
Kachra reh gya bus. But exceptions are always there.
