I don’t work in that field, but constantly interact with people who do. There certainly is great demand for people with these skillsets - esp. with generally greater emphasis on business intelligence and performance management. Also you mentioned SAP experience, which, again, in general, is great! but what type of experience? functional modules? development?
Also, many firms that don’t already have ERP installations are now looking at SaaS and Cloud based solutions for BI and PM. This trend however does not mean that someone with traditional ERP or DBM experience will have to worry. In fact, the same skillsets need to be adapted toward these new technology models.
