It is still a crime to fall in love with someone not from your religion...

Isnt it sad that these things happen …

Protests raged in Jammu city on Friday over the custodial death of a local youth in Srinagar. A senior police officer was thrashed by the mob.

The protestors surrounded a police bus in which around 40 jail inmates were being taken to court. Among those roughed up was an assistant commissioner of police.

What triggered the protests was the death of Rajneesh Sharma, a Jammu youth, in Srinagar. Rajneesh had married Amina Yusuf, a Kashmiri girl. She embraced Hinduism and changed her name to Aanchal Sharma.

This triggered protests in the Kashmir Valley and the police picked up Rajneesh for questioning. He died in custody.

Well what i wuld like to know is
the police was it indian
hindu police? i mean or muslim indian police?
if it was hindu then i don't think the family should doubt it.
the police never fogives muslims even when they are innnocent let alone when they have killed someone.

But this article comming from u does not carry lot of weight mate :) I feel sorry for the person that was killed but again commeing from u it looses all the weight it should carry since its pointing YET again fingers to Muslims.

You know me i love to give personal examples.
Events and things that i have been through myself or my friends or my friends friends not like others telling stories that have been whispered in someone elses ears.

I know someone in India (i will not tell the place bc its still sensitive) a Muslim male
who was in love with Indian Hindu Gujrati family background and she ran away with the man she loved but there was media fenzy and extremist hindus did turn out on street to kill the family of the Muslim male but thank God because of the good connections of the Muslim family they could calm down the situation which laste for almost a month.

The Muslim guys life was spared ONLY because he had to lie on television that he himself did convert to Hinduism.

Yep yep yep so these cases unfortunatly happen its not nice but what can we do about it but then to condemn it.

If instead of Rajneesh Sharma, the youth had been a Muslim then everyone would have been talking about Indian state’s brutality towards Kashmiris…

The Jammu and Kashmir Police are in the eye of a storm over the death of a youth in custody which they tried to pass off as a case of suicide.

The victim, Rajneesh Sharma of Jammu, was picked up by the police from the Valley on September 30 on the charge of kidnapping a Muslim girl.

He was kept in Rammunshibagh police station in Srinagar and allegedly tortured. He died on October 6.

Later, it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. The girl’s father, Mohd Yousuf Haji, had actually filed a complaint of kidnap against Pawan, Rajneesh’s elder brother.

Instead of Pawan, the Srinagar Police had arrested Rajneesh. Their Jammu counterparts had wrongly identified him as Pawan.

The police went into damage control mode as the incident sparked an outrage in Jammu. Srinagar SSP Riaz Bidar said two policemen had been suspended and a magisterial inquiry initiated in the case.

The deceased’s family was shocked when it was found that the body brought from Srinagar was that of Rajneesh and not Pawan, whom the police had claimed to have arrested. Pawan is absconding.

Violence erupted in the Government Medical College, Jammu, when Rajneesh’s body was taken there for a second postmortem. His relatives and friends smashed the furniture and windowpanes of the mortuary where his body was kept. His mother alleged her son was tortured in custody and his body bore bruises. The family is demanding action against the policemen who allegedly tortured Rajneesh to death.

They raised slogans against CM Omar Abdullah and DGP Kuldeep Khoda for failing to stop “police atrocities” against innocents. They have demanded a CBI inquiry.
