that women - a Mother and sister, can create all kinds of suspicion and bad feelings in the heart of a man, and make him hate the woman he would want to get married to. such women, are perhaps sadly uninformed and cannot see others happy.
their own lives might have suffered a long time period of being tense and that is why they want to execute all their power by creating obstacles in the way of their son and brother, by making him turn against the woman he wants to marry.
this is a societal ill in many instances in Pakistani traditional and conservative families. they want to have it both ways : use and abuse others’ feelings and daughters’ pure sincerity.
to them, demeaning somebody without reasons, is not unethical.
it reflects their own uneducated ness and what they have become use to - picking at the happiness of others, because they never got to have it.
lucky are those young women, who are proposed with honor and are welcomed by their mother in laws and sister in laws.
and unlucky are those men, who are unable to voice their happiness, for marrying someone they want to, but they are unable to control the miserable state of being treated like some toy, who must get married to the women of the choice of the Mother. that woman will indeed serve the purpose of the Mother and sister, to dominate the family life of the son and the brother, but in reality he will be miserably unhappy.
nothing can be done about this.
and so many marriages are not happy marriages.
would anyone (someone who has successfully controlled for this, prior to and after getting married to the man who actually took the initiative to be honest to his own self, instead of living the trend of sacrificing his happiness for his family’s sense of what is right and what i wrong for him ), like to share what they make of this instance?
