If the person is just saying to get his frustration out then let it go. But if the person is serious tell them that there is no way anyone can crawl back to paradise. So stick by and struggle.
As for islamic perspective, Thank Allah for what you have my personal observation is that such statements are often said when a person is discontented with the way life is going.Islam teaches patience and obedience, its hard , its frustrating but its the only way to survive.

nia piaaaaa, I canttttt just completely ignore ppl when they say such things. I have tried. Especially when they are good friends. smile

What I do agree with though is that at some point you have to realize it is their decision to make, and not yours, to move on with their thinking and life.
