My major is Computer Networking and communications. I am almost done with school (6 to 8 more months to go) and I just can’t find any internships in northwest chicago area, IL. I know a lot of you are into IT. Please help me find an internship. I need referrals, recommendations, and please don’t just post useless links.
My ultimate goal is different, but I need to start somewhere and this could be it. I am willing to take anything just for experience to get my foot in the door… So please help..

Where do u go to school, IIT??? I have heard they have a quite good internship placement record for their students..i have seen people from Engineering Sophomore-Junior status do internships in IT field in chicagoarea from IIT....plus tons of consultants companies in area.....go for SAP, i have heard that is pretty hot these days specially in Chicago area.
