It hurts

.. a nerve right next to my ear’s tragus. Not consistently but maybe once or twice a day. Pain is more like unbearable throbbing.. I don’t know how else to describe it. It doesn’t last more than a minute but during that time I can’t do anything else but to hold my head & suffer.

Any suggestions other than checking with the Dr?

yes.

check with the doctor -right away.

r u sleeping on just that side?

What did those Japs do to you, they planted something in your ear while you were sleeping! Told you not to stay in Hachioji!

Well, I do tend to sleep on my right side (where it hurts) more than my left. But not always ..

Cat, it's been going on for about 2 months now .. so I can't blame them.

Have you been living with a woman for more than a year?. Ear infections in men are quite common after long term association with the opposite gender. It works out pretty good actually as you now have an excuse for, " I can't hear you honey".

When a person has a discomforting pain, should he

a) Go see a doctor, trained to diagnose & treat pain, about it?

b) Ask a bunch on medical ignoramuses he hasn’t ever met but just posts messages to online if they know what it is?

:hoonh:

I think you need to see an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist.

I think Maddy brings up a valid concern. AJ, may be you should talk to your doctor about 'point b' while you visit for 'point a'

Well, it doesn't hurt to ask; after all it is the health forum. And while others might enjoy a Dr's office trip, I tend to get out of it as much as possible. Don’t worry, I am suppose to get an appointment sometime today.

That was mean. Sorry AJ. Feel better. :flower1:

AJ bhai, please go to the doctor A.S.A.P

inshallah its gona be nothing lekin aise maamlon mein deyr BILKUL bhee nai karni chahiye

Faisal Bhai, I thought you were the google King!

So what is a tragus? If you don't know, that is fine, but since you mentioned it in your first post, so I kinda thought you would know what you are talking about. Its ok. No worries. We'll let everyone Google it.
