Re: It hurts to see...
Every one is poor. Who will help whom?
Help just One family you know is deserving, all you can do is to give them...!
Plus shoes to each member! These items could be new or could be used, but in better condition!
** This is one time investment! And total = 600+600+800= Rs. 2000.00
In US$ = 34**
Grocery items for every month!
** Total: 110+200+600= 910
In US $ = 15**
If you can help by sending only 15 $ a month and one time for 35$ to those needy and poor families, that will not take anything from you, but will return a true happiness and to that family some tears of Joy! Think…if each person living abroad is sending $ 15 each month to one needy family...

Re: It hurts to see...
Give a man a fish and he can feed himself for a day, teach a man to fish so he can feed himself everyday. Giving Bheek (what Dadda said clothes is a dumb idea). No one needs clothes. People should wear minimal clothes in Pakistani summers (ladies in loose shorts and loose little tops - no need for bras either) and men in loose shorts. What they need is more school, and if the government can spend zillions on Motorways and Nukes, they can also build schools and spend money on safe drinking water. If anything, by giving Bheek to people will only make it worsen for not only them, but for generations to come. Keep your $15 where you mouth is.
Re: It hurts to see…
Excellent…Not only that, I know many old people, who don’t have children to take care of them, their hospital bills, their living…
I suggest helping those who are the closest…Look within your family, then your circle then people around you who you know are truly needy…
Insurance is almost unheard of for many labour class people…Injuries take away their livelihood for years and maybe even for life…This small token, which is only $15 will go a long way in our countries to help many needy people…
Very good breakdown of everything Ata…:k:
Re: It hurts to see...
Thank you Lajwab and Lussi, if you guys willing to work with me on this project, please let me know!
Madha_nee,
Disappointing ...it smells like you are trying to discourage those who can only feed fishes, instead of fishing itself…
You are comparing roadways with some hungry stomach…
Let other feed fishes to those ‘beggars’ and you please keep on giving lesson on fishing!
Re: It hurts to see...
Dada saab… Interesting to read about such grand ideas from a bunch of unemployed kids here. Wouldn’t it make sense to first get some job and then worry about helping the needy? And by the way, it is extremely arrogant to belittle needy people by telling them that your $15 will help them clothe and feed. They don’t need your $15. They need clean drinking water and they need jobs.
