We all know what happened to the jews before & during the 2nd world war. It didnt happen over night. The lead to the massacre was a long campaign driven by the media against the jews, the media was successful in increasing the hatred towards the jews and gave a negative image. Slowly but surely the support for the jews dimished, there were hate crimes commited, and eventually they were killed.
Look at the media of today…Certainly in the UK and throughout Europe, anything bad the media will connect it to Islam and Muslims. Slowly but surely we are getting a very negative image…The extremist parties that support this hatred are growing in support. Could it be the Muslims of Europe are next? It’s already happened in some area’s.
It’s very possible and cannot be ignored.

i'm sure muslims will have worse than wht jews had...moderate muslims especially those in the west think they can get away by sucking up to the western governments and by letting them spill the blood of innocent muslims in muslim countries....they don't know they are indirectly responsible for everything thats happening to the muslims in their own countries.also muslims [many] are of the view that if its not happening to them then its easily neglectable.let other suffer as long as they are having an easy life.many says that they have come to these countries n now want to have nothing to do with those they have left behind.they live or die is not their concern anymore.well if they can have such rotten attitude towards their own ppl then why can't they have ill feelings about them? if terrorists are creating problems for muslims in west then these muslims themselves are responsible for it.they pay taxes, cast votes n elect governments who in turn support the killings of innocents.

I agree. We, with ouselves, are so corrupt. I was just listening to this ayah of the Quran (today) where Allah says that "If you will ignore Allah's commands, then surely Allah will make ppl who will worship him and carry out his commands"

A lot of the talk about Muslims not following god's commandments and suffering as a result is nothing more than gullible nonsense. There are good people everywhere - every religion has a vast majority who are good people and there are people who suffer for no fault of their own, not because theya re terrible sinners or whatever. Only a crude fanatic could say that the suffering of innocent people is because the whole religion is sinful.
That said, there is an increasingly anti Muslim feeling in the west especialy because of the present Pope and his fanatical teachings. He started off as pope talking about the Crusades and saying that they were "divinely inspired." What was "divinely inspired" by the bloody murder of hundreds of thousands of Muslims and Jews 900 years ago including women and children? And then his nonsense about Islam being predisposed to violence recently quoting the words of an Orthodox Christian vassal of the Selljuk Turks only inflamed issues.
The Catholic church openly supported the Nazis in Ww-2 and books like John Cornwell's Hitler's Pope and Vladimir Dedijer's The Yugoslav Auschwitz and the Vatican clearly document the history of this era. Benedict was a member of the Hitler Youth during that same war - it would not be a stretch to say that he is as viciously anti Muslim as his predecessor during the war, Pius the 12th was anti Jewish.
Yes, this is an excelent post and it expresses facts that many would like to dismiss out of ignorance of history and current affairs.

This is a one sided debate, because majority of posters are Muslims who are used to the teachings from childhood and don’t think twice when some Muslims burn a church but are flamed when there is a cartoon or some guy in his own country suggests that Muslim woman should consider not covering there face when he is talking to them. Or think that what Al Qaeda did was right because west is the cause of all the problems in there countries and Govt,'s. same people who have no problem Issuing a fatwa or calling for the death of American’s or Jews but are up in arms when someone says death to Muslims. Not likely to happen in the age of nukes - persecution on a smaller scale perhaps, but not en masse. The world is a much smaller place, and the opportunity costs are greater.

You guys thought it was all hanky dory before, actually Muslims in the west are going through what Americans went through after 9/11. A wake up call, there are many problems we are facing today not only as a community but also as a society. We have lot of fixing to do.

Osama Bin Laden is someone whose head would be hacked off his shoulders if he ever falls into Saudi hands. No pope has performed the token act of excommunicating the Nazis after WW-2. Indeed, Benedict clearly looks like he would happily endorse this war too like he has endorsed the Crusades. The problem is not with Israel. It is a tiny country that makes hardly a difference to how a vast majoprity of Muslims live even in the Middle East. The fact is that the largest Christian faith, Catholicism, is engaged in whipping up emotions for another Crusade.
Yes, the original post happened to be an excellent one. The cautions that it offers are something that need to be looked at in the light of how the Church of Rome has behaved down history.

Certainly things could get very bad for Muslims. But that doesn't mean we should give in and let it happen.
We can either remain passive.
Or become active by senselessly fighting back and fulfilling others' preconceived notions about us.
Or we could try to actively (and perhaps one person at a time) to change the mindset of people toward Muslims by example, respectful dialogue, working toward unified and educated ummah etc. Maybe it won't work, maybe no one will listen. But it's the only option with some hope.

I’m not saying Muslims don’t have their problems but Muslims are not in denial, we condemn those who commit terrorism in our name whereas you don’t see the same condemnation from the Non-Muslim Westerners towards their terrorist governments.
A false façade of pretend humanrights, peace, democracy and civilisation for the past 30 odd years does not change thousands of years of colonisation, enslavement, ethnic cleansing, crusades, plundering, rapes and murders carried out by the Christian West a lot of the times in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost.

Look at our brethren in Eastern Europe, they was white (Caucasian/European/Aryan white with blonde hair and blue eyes not wannabe “Pathan white” or “Karachian Fair&Lovely white”) but they were Muslim, although only in name, they wore crucifixes, their women married Christian men, they drank and partied, went to church with their bf/gf, ate Haraam, couldn’t read Namaaz, spoke the same language and had the same traditions as their Christian neighbours but when the Christians wanted to ethnically cleanse them they all joined in, friends and family members included and the poor half baked Muslims couldn’t find a refuge anywhere and were mercilessly slaughtered and raped by the Christians, their moderateness didn’t help them one bit.
Or look at our Turkish brothers, officially scrapped the Islamic identity, stopped wearing the fez and the thobe, didn’t leave a stone unturned to be a part of Europe but Europeans despise them, of course they want Constantinople back and they love to visit Ishmela for the Raki and the belly dancers but they hate Turks, British people say they hate Turks more than Pakis (and that’s saying something), they never have anything nice to say about Turks when they come back from Cyprus but they’re all praise for the Greeks, that’s how much they despise Turks and there’s hardly anything Islamic about most Turks they come across, yet they hate them.
I’ll be nice and courteous to my countrymen but Islam is my main identity, I’ll never try and be British in more than paper because no matter how hard I try it’s not going to happen, they’re certainly not going to accept me with my religion or even without for that matter.
Those moderates who shun Islam in the hope of being accepted are kidding themselves, they’ll never be accepted, everyone needs belonging and a strong sense of identity but they are left neither hither nor there, like the girl who rums away from her parents with her boyfriend and then her boyfriends dumps her.
