Whats the market out there for IT consultants. Meaning do you know of a company or firm that is hiring MBA gradutates for internships or/and full time possitions for next summer in the IT consulting sector.

All I keep hearing is that everything is been cut back and there is basically no demand for people right now and the markets at least in IT consulting is dead.

If you are working in the industry and have an idea of what the hiring practices are going to be for the coming summer, do let me know.

As far as I know, all the major consulting firms are trying to trim down on their IT Consulting people. Some firms more than others...

There are a lot of cut backs but it's still possible to get an internship during the summer if you get lucky. At least in Toronto anyway.....So far it looks reasonably positive although as you pointed out, you need to apply to tons of places and hope to get lucky.
