Istikhara..

Ladies and Gentlemen of GS,

Not too long ago, Syed-Bob said something very sexually derogatory about the Prophet SAWS. I will not repeat what was said, but I have concrete evidence for it and it is even known to some members of the admin team.. It is evident that he has an agenda and he is creating these "Deen Lesson" threads to manipulate and attack Islam in ways which he imagines to be clever and subtle, yet they are anything but.

One can even muster a few moments of sympathy for this elderly man who cannot keep his personal narratives straight, who makes poor assumptions about our lives without ever having witnessed them, yet spends an enormous amount of time seeking validation from online strangers when he (supposedly) has the most busiest, loved-up, fulfilling zindagi outside this forum. The sympathy, however, is a short-lived one because his religion based threads (as thinly veiled and poorly constructed as they are) STILL reflect a deliberate scheming and not a genuine interest to seek knowledge. This depraved individual ( Syed...? ) is not good at what he's doing, but he still knows what he's doing. It's mind-boggling how this otherwise whipped, lalloo-bawarjee suddenly finds his courage and chalaki in religious matters.

Relax dude, don’t get an aneurysm reading posts on internet. You feel like being an ISIS bride go knock yourself out.

Going through this big discussion on fortune telling in a topic about Istikhara makes as much sense as going posting hadith and scholarly opinions and Q&A about wine being haram in a topic about water.

Just because some people are performing istikhara with the incorrect understanding and purpose..................DOES NOT.............mean that istikhara is wrong or sinful or that it should be completely rejected and prohibited.

If you had created this thread to address common misconceptions about istikhara, while also explaining the CORRECT way to do it, it would be one thing.

But is is evident that you are shunning istikhara altogetther and that you are trying to say that the Prophet SAWS encouraged a practice that violates the principles of Tawheed. Because we see through this, you've got no takers or supporters.

Istikhara is done to obtain guidance for making decisions. If people do something wrong thinking it is Istikhara then that is a separate issue altogether and has no more to do with fortune telling than someone making decisions based on weather or traffic reports.

I know people do strange things in the name of Istikhara, but as redvelvet metnioned, that doesn't take the validility or virtue away from actual Istikhara.

In the Istikhara dua, one is asking to have the matter (its progress etc.) facilitated if it is in their best interest, so if this is achieved by means of a discussion about the matter with someone and and then being inclined toward or away from a certain path, then there is nothing wrong with that.

I am denouncing people who are misusing faith to serve their iwn needs and to validate their failed lives.

People like Bobby1, love to excrete after getting an enema by someone and coming immediately online.

@redvelvet likes to clean up Bobby1 potty without any fee.

Why are you using such words in a religious thread? You don’t appear to understand the basics of spirituality. Knowledge of the scriptures does not signify spirituality. My advice to you is to look inward and find peace. Just be a good person. That is more important than building a religious portfolio and boasting about how knowledgeable you are on the scriptures. The scriptures teach one to be a good person. If there is indeed some supreme being, that being will reward you for the good deeds you did, not on your knowledge of scriptures.

Know what is your Dharma and embrace it.
