hmm…i wz wondering if some1 can help me..i like some1 and that guy asked maulana to do istikhara for our marriage and it came out as positive..but when i told my parents about him and they asked some maulana to do it for us..it came out as negative so wut should i do? hes saying we can wait for some time and try again..the answer mite change..is it possible? or shud i leave him and move on…or if i try doin istikhara again will it disrespectful ??

**first of all *, u do NOT need a maulaana to do the istiKhaara for u. u can do it urself. but, b4 that i wud add that one has to atleast be doing the basics [like namaaz, rozaa] b4 getting into peripheral things. one has to amke Allah happy b4 he can ask favours. does it make sense that one dopesn't do the basics that Allah prescribed for that person and then he/she come around looking for his guidance and favours.
now, YES. its NOT like one time shot u take. u can do istiKhaara again coz the hint aur inclination taht u may have perceived may not have been correctly received. so doing istiKhaara again and again over a reasonable period of time is ok...Good Luck!***

KKF is right; all you have to do is pray 2 rakat nafl and then recite the dua for istikhaara (if you don't know it, just google or ask in here). since it's just ibaadat after all, there is of course no limit to how many times you can do it, but inshaAllah after doing istikhaara you will feel an inclination one way or the other.
