istikhara through Quran

I’ve seen few maulana doing istikhara through Quran…and i heard that it can be done with beads as well…what do u all think about it? And how to do istikhara with Quran and beads ?

Ladlee, from what I have read and researched.... the way these maulanas are doing it are not what Rasool Allah (SAW) practiced and preached. He (saw) taught sahaba to read two nafl then say the duaa for istekhara....

It is only in the sub-continent that ppl are taught to do istekhara after eshaa prayer and then sleep facing the qibla and you will see a dream....

This is not the way Rasool Allah (saw) practiced, anytime you can pray nafl you can say the istekhara duaa.... and sahabas used to pray nafl and do istekhara before they left their homes in the morning to go about their business asking Allah to help them make the choice that was good for their deen and duniya.....

I have been practicing this way and alhamdulillah, Allah has made me choose the path that has proved best for my deen and duniya.... I do not see any dreams but the path you are supposed to take only that is left open for you...rest Allah puts hurdles in other paths. And you just have to trust Him.

The way you are telling of quran and beads.... not proven at all in Sunnah so pls try to stay away from such things.

^so it can be done after fajr prayers also? and can u pls send me istikhara dua?

Subhanallah!! My mother adivices me to do the same as well. So Now, I pray dua istikhara after every prayer in my dua.

Besides, I never heard of the beads and quran..How is it done?:s

I have tried doin the istekhara dream and Alhamdulilah I always see a dream on the same night. I am glad Allah Subhana wa ta`ala shows me the path whenever i want him!! Alhamdulilah!!
