I did some research on this issue and here is a brief summary of what I could gather or understand.
There are basically two school of thoughts on this issue. (Correct me if I am wrong here. )
Some believe that one should do istikhara for EVERY major decision of life. Even if somone is satisfied and convinced about a major decision, he/she should go ahead with the istikhara process.
Others believe that one should go for istikhara ONLY when a decision cannot be made due to some confusions or reservations. As it is recommended in istikhara procedure that if one doesnt get any signal or sign after the procedure, he/she should go with what the heart says. They argue that if somone is satisfied in the first place, he/she should go for it rather than do istikhara because in the end if they dont get any signal they are advised to go with their heart anyway.
I want to know more about this namaaz and how it is done and how the results are suppose to come. If someone can give me a detailed explanation and if the answer comes "no" how can it be changed if it is possible. Please help me out.
i had a question, my friend told me there are different ways of doing the namaaz and he said to me that his mom said that when u do Istikhara and your fininsed while prayin the dua your head turns to the left its bad and right side its good. i dont know i have never heard of this procedure before and if someone can please inform me of all the ways and help me out, its very important.
I’m aware of one method that has strong evidence from the Sunnah.
Also, to answer to your post in another thread, I don’t think it has anything to do with head turning to the left or to the right. From the little that I know, it’s about how you feel after offering the Salat-ul-Istikhara and how things turn out afterwards (ie. if things are going smooth and well, or if things are going in the opposite direction).
