I never heard if Prophet PBUH ever recommended by his teachings. In another post, do you mean hadith like where Prophet PBUH informed if you read a 'Tasbeeh' of that much time than you'll see sign of 'this and that' as clue?

just because you 'did not come across' a hadith, does not mean it does not exist. Are you claiming that you have read all six prominent books of hadith (saha sitta)?

Not only there is salat-ul-istikhara as mostly practiced subcontinent but there is a suplication of istikhara that most arabs read.

I havent not found anything about 'Istikhara'. If there is any hadith in Sahih Bukhari and Muslim than please quote here. Thankyou.
