Well as the topic states, my question is regarding these isthikaras done for marriage proposals.
Just in general, out of curiousity..I was wondering how many people here read isthikara before accepting proposals and how was the experience over all? Did you guys get dreams or strong inklings?
Id love to hear such experiences

Istikhara is a dua . Always do istikhara before making majir decisions and yes marriage . Once u have done istikhara. Have faith n stay steadfast.

A rishta came out of the blue for me and found it really weird as they came pretty late in the evening. The following week they were coming with the guy. I did the Istikhara dua a couple of days before and I never do this and woke up twice early in the morning feeling anxious and my head in a blur and all I could see repeatedly that we would divource. Nobody had told me this. Later i found out he had been already married and the marriage was volatile, and some physical violence between both of them. He would not let her see people or let her out of the house and would keep all his ex's money. Alleges that he was controlling and an emotional abuser. they also had issues about conceiving and this was being blamed on the ex-wife.
All his family know this and still approached us.
I have been told it will be different for us and it is about kismet and naseeb. this has lead to me spiralling downwards into a major depression.
