and by issues i dont exactly mean fighting, or arguing…

Issues don't necessarily have to be "fighting" or "arguing." In some marriages, the root issue could even be exhaustion. Perhaps both couples work and have little time to spend with one another. Although they both might act civil towards one another, this could result in them drifting apart.

Or maybe the marriage has mutual respect but the attraction is not there. There could be a variety of situations. All relationships (besides marriage) can have issues. It depends on how they're handled.
