Issue with hubby: is she overreacting ?

Why he needs to pick between his family and her? If he is living with his family then obviously he is going to spend more time with them than her. Maybe, 11 pm is the time when everyone of his family is available, maybe that has been their family time all along.

I agree that he needs to bring in more balance, but she needs to take it easy also.

How long ago did they get married? And how much longer will they continue living in separate countries?

I think his family might be more conservative and he doesn't want them to notice how much he is actually in raabta with her. He might feel that in the night time when everyone is in bed no one will be nagging him to drop them somewhere or to go get dahi, or keeping track of how attached to the hip he is with his phone, and in other words ur friend. My parents are somewhat conservative so I did the same. We mostly just used web chat, no Skype and hardly phone. I also felt uncomfortable even letting my brothers find out I was talking to him although we were engaged and even after we were nikahfied. (Although my brother hadnt been strictly expected to follow rules of no romance chat but he too was not blatantly on the phone chatting away in front of my parents). He did it at night too (with his fiancé in another country). We shared a room so I knew ofcourse but he did not make my parents aware of it. So in both cases (me and him) my parents were aware that we are in touch with our fiancés but we were not being brazen about it and openly doing it in front of them. Maybe ur friend's fiancé is in the same.boat. (sorry my phone refused to let me make any paragraphs).
