Re: ISSB
Today went for acdemic test in rawalpindi .. passed it .. and now physical test on monday
1.6 km in 7 1/2 min (<<concerned about this one) :P
15 push ups (piece of cake)
15 sit ups (piece of cake)
3 chin ups (piece of cake)
then a medical test ...
i ll give updates on monday :D
Re: ISSB
^ Good luck.
Re: ISSB
First step in the right direction :k:
Youre right xlnc the 7 min mile is smthng to be concerned abt, even 2nd termers at PMA flunk the test and dread it ![]()
I hope youve been bldg up your stamina during the past few weeks.
The pushups, situps and chinups would most probabaly be right after the run when you’d be well drained, so they won’t be that easy for most either.
Remember to go the smart way i.e. keep the breathing exercises and tempo going all the while.
Plus remember, it’s the never say die attitude that they like and which ensures success.
Very best luck with all including the medical test. Do keep us updated :k:
Re: ISSB
hey guyz guess what .... on 19th it was medical and physical .. well physical went really well .. but i fell off the danda in chin ups .. hit my butt really bad .. but manged to do 3 of them ... but my butt is still a lil blue :D ... then sit ups and push ups were piece of cake .. then medical .. i was 6 feet tall .. strong build and 70kg weight i got full marks for medical ....
then i got the date to the interview .. that was today ..
i reached as&rc rwp at 6:45am .. it took me 45mins from here islamabad to get there ...
then interviews started at 9am ... the tension was high .. there were at lease 100-120 guyz ... all well dressed .. i was feeling a lil under dressed .. as i was not wearing a tie which was somewhat a common trait among most of the cadidates .. but i remained focused on my performance and my simple look .. having beared would raise some exteme questions of islam .. and i was ready for that ...
then at exact 11:56 am it was my turn to take the interview room .. when i entered the room i saw Mr brigadear(hope i m spelling it right)
was sitting in the middle of the table .. and col and major were sitting very much far away on either side .. like if you see at one person in the room you will not see what are the face expression of ther other person ...
when i entered the room brig took my name rather in unusual manner ... he pronounced it quiet in another manner ...
then rather than saying that you are wrong .. i repeated my name with a lil friendly smile ...
he told me to sit down ..
then in urdu he go my intro
what does your father do
how long has he been in the service
what grades you took in the matric and fsc
then give me a speech in English about "Luxuries make a man lazy"
i gave a blasting speech over this topic .. i took it from luxries to lazy then to overweight then to weak .. then to diseases .. and in overweight thing i gave my example that i was overweight like 96kgs ... becuase of luxries around me .. but with my will i was able to come over my obese nature .. and break the shell once and for all .. it took brig somewhat impressed ....
then he said give me something about co education
i gave a diplomatic answer
then after that he asked couple of physics Qs
then a math one which was fairly easy that
if a dozen aggs are of 22rs then how much money it will cost for 30eggs ...
well i rechecked my answer in 10 seconds couple of times and gave the answer
55 sir
birg with flashing eyes said best of luck gentleman you can go now ..
i sad thankyou very mcuh and left the room ..
and in all that i was always focused on brig .. never looked on sides .. as if no one was sitting there ..
i looked at him like we are the only two person in the room ..
as i knew other two are very crucial in descion making .. and they are watching my every nervous move if any .. so i never scarched my head or my beared .. despite of having a big urge of scratching the head because of dandruff :P lol
then at about 1:00 pm .. a havaldaar .. gatherd all the boy in the ground .. and called upon those who can go now ... those were 9 .. and i was one of them .. i was all pale .. i was saying to myself i lost all the 26 kgs for nothing .. this is bull **** ... oh well i ll not leave these army men i ll try again ..
all who were left un-chosed were very happy that they still have a chance and all 9 of us were like we are bad faliures .. and then the magic words sruck my ears .. that all other may go now because these 9 ppl who are standing here are the recommended ones by the panel for ISSB ... man that was the apex of my emotion .. i was so happy with everyone .. and so much thankful of Allah that i was about to offer a sajdah down there on side with a garbage can but i held myself as it was getting late for jummah prayer .. so i got the ISSB form rushed to home .. and very much gladly i made the jummah prayer never missed it ..
this is all my story and all this story's credit goes to my friend who is in PMA kakul nowadays .. who said to me 6 months ago that you are 96 kgs .. you can be 70 in 6 months time .. he was my energy booster ..and i am hoping to be his junior this year inshAllah
thank you all .. i ll be waiting for your replies
Re: ISSB

Re: ISSB
Xlnc,
Congratulations! ![]()
Good achievement, and thanks for the detailed update. was a nice read.
Now that you have the ISSB form, fill it with best concentration and keep a copy of it with yourself before submission, review it before you leave for the ISSB, the info in the form and the info you reveal at ISSB have to be at par.
I think it’ll be a month before you’re called for ISSB.
And at ISSB will be ther real tests.
So start preparing and practise well.
Best luck and for any support feel free to discuss. And keep us updated :k:

Re: ISSB
Great! I hope you enjoyed yur stay at the ISSB. Even Generals fondly recall their 30 or so yrs old 4 day stay at ISSB. ![]()
It’s commonly believed so abt the reinterview, officially though they say it means nothing. Best of luck xlnc :k: Do let us know what happens, and God forbid if it’s an unfavourable outcome, dont be disheartened at all! there’s another chance and many high calibre serving officers were selected on the second, so aim high!
