A 10-year-old girl named Switan looks into the window of the Herat restaurant while begging for food Jan. 13 in Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital city. She gazes at people eating, in hopes of getting their leftovers. Switan’s begging brings in 50,000 to 70,000 Afghani per day, which equals about $2.50.

They should consider removing 4 zeros (0000) from their currency. Hisaab kitaab mein asaani ho jayay gi (calculator keys won't wear out as quickly).
