ISRO

Re: ISRO

Well as I said earlier, his articles do not reveal any top-secret information hidden from the Indian public and are quite biased. Its well known that the SLV-3 rocket is modelled on the Scout, whose designs NASA sold to India. Indian scientists were trained at NASA’s facilities, and how the French gave India its Viking engine coz Indians ended up working for 135 man-years on its design in France (it was considered equally Indian).

All this is mentioned in detail in President Dr Kalam’s autobio, and the autobios of other Indian scientists.

Now the website for an unbiased view is nti.org. It is far more detailed and revealing, unlike Millhonin’s statements like “SLV is an exact Scout copy” or “Agni is a Scout copy”, which are not true at all and cannot be discussed here coz its too technical. You can refer to nti.org or bharat-rakshak.

Actually India depends only on the cryogenic upper stage of the GSLV Mk-I and Mk-II launch vehicles, which are Russian. In most other technologies, India is self-sufficient.
