The Idea of Imam Mehdi's birth was from Jane Dixsion's prediction when in Feb 1962 or 1963 she said that today the person has born in middle east who will drive the world and will have many followers

I avoid commenting of personalities, so I’d try to avoid it this time as well. But I believe if s’one has a personal viewpoint that Imam Mehdi has arrived or s’thing, I really doubt if there is anything wrong with holding this opinion, as long as this opinion doesnt clash with the Quran and Sunnah
I’d, also, like to mention this interesting lecture which I heard, thought it may be helpful since it cover a few things about Imam Mehdi

historically Israr Ahmed would not be the first Muslim to wrongly predict the advent of the Mahdi..people have been citing the early and late examples of the coming of qiyamat from soon after the Prophets (sm.) death..so i don’t think it speaks highly of him…his comments about Muslims in India and non Muslims in general I found almost cruel ..his other opinions..seemed to show someone well read..but as I said earlier it is his application and conclusion of that knowledge that seems flawed.

Brother, you see there are two type of signs which are mentioned in the various hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (s). You see if you read the minor signs you’ll realise that it seems that we are almost standing at the verge of the qiama, this I believe might have led to various incorrect predictions of the major signs like the advent of Mehdi and other things in the context.
As I said earlier, I’ve heard various scholars saying that: “In my opinion xyz has happend” or “In my opinion xyz will happen in the near future”. And I’ve heared a few lecture of Dr. Israr as well, in his lectures he has adopted the similar manner to predict s’thing. Also, in the same lectures I’ve heared him mentioning the reason which made him predict a perticular even and all. Since, I’m not a regular listener of Dr. Israr and since, i normally stay away from commenting on personalities I’d not give a judegmental remark about Dr. Israr. However if you disagree with his rullings you may bring them forward and I may like to share my viewpoints on that.

Oh, for this supposed "mehdi" they've got everything worked out -- what the guy will EXACTLY say, what he will wear, what he shall do, eat, see etc etc :D

And by the way, Israr Ahmed is a phoney.

Assalamualikum guys,
Well for those who rise the point of Imam Mehdi.Dr israr only said that it was his prediction according to the conditions and he added that no one should be forced to believe on his ideas.
For second citiizenship i think he was right because where there is Muslim Government they will be second citizens as u call.Rights would be equal but still second citizens.Jizya would be paid by them.
