Israel’s only enemy which compelled Israel to leave an occupied area, and which actually made Israel uneasy is Hezbollah. And Syria is the only conduit for Hezbollah to get weapons.
If Syrian government goes away then Hezbollah will lose its position.
This is why Americans and Israelis have been stoking the civil war in Syria, hoping to unseat Assad. But their calculations might be changing now because Syrian opposition is increasing becoming extremist-infested. The moderates are out. Americans tried their best to bring moderates to front but to no avail.
