This Israeli person in my dorm just knocked on our door as he is collecting signatures against the ‘oppression of the Israeli people and their right to live peacefully’?
*cough
My roommates and I pehlay toh had to suppress our anger, couldn’t be mean to him, and then we were just like please don’t be offended its nothing personal or against Jews and we don’t want to hurt your feelings, they have the right to live peacefully ofcourse like all humans, but we disagree with Israeli policies and we think she is the oppressor not the oppressed so we can’t sign this petition.
What made me so MAD though was there were signatures on that sheet from other people in the dorm I mean ofcourse the average American isn’t going to know that much about the mideast conflict…We do have a lot of awareness stuff about the mideast conflict going on on campus but with the biased Israel dominated media coverage ofcourse the Americans are gonna sign this petition. Their ignorance is just being taken advantage of here!!!
It bugs me to bits when I see Israelis acting as if they are the ‘oppressed ones’!!! the nerve!!! ppuhhhhleasseee we are not that stupid
the basic difference: they don't get mad when it comes to express verbally. what u said was the exact thing they must be told every time they beg for help.

What you are looking for is a hairy behind of an Israeli representative to kiss, but unfortunately, you will not find that online... Afterall this sort of a**-kissing gets India the drones labeled (made in Israel) that usually end up being the PAFs prey for the day ;)
irem, I think they gots both.
i.e nerve gas and nerve :D
On the other hand, I think the college crowd (esp. at a university like yours) is a lot more aware of the realities in Mid East conflict than your average middle-class-CNN-watching-American-Joe. Im speaking from personal interactions with the college crowd.
Irem- If the guys w/the petition are indeed Israeli's, then they can speak from first hand experience. Have you on the other hand ever been to Palestine? I would guess not, meaning that you have formed your opinion based purely on anti-Israeli propoganda.
What I feel is that alot of Americans are unawre of the truth, they just thing they are the good guys, and the world ends after America... This does not make them bad people, but puts a responsibility on us to teach them about whats really going on.
