Mortar mishap sparks security scare ahead of peace summit

BEIRUT: Three mortars, apparently fired by a private Israeli defense contractor accidentally, exploded in northern Israel near the Lebanese border Monday.
The explosions, which Israeli police initially blamed on the Lebanese resistance group Hizbullah, caused a security scare ahead of today’s Sharm el-Sheikh summit.
But Israeli police confirmed that a military exercise inadvertently caused the explosions.
“It seems the source of the blasts was not shooting from southern Lebanon,” an Israeli military official said on condition of anonymity.
According to official reports, a private Israeli defense contractor accidentally fired the shells, which landed on the northern coastal town of Nahariya near the Lebanese border, causing no injuries but some damage.
“The incident was apparently caused by an error by a civilian company and not by the military,” the official told AFP, without giving further details.

So no where is there any firm proof that the Israeli's set this whole thing up, just your PRESUMPTION that there must be an evil plot afoot? Deal in facts little man, not cheap conspiracy theories.
Last I heard, bloggers were not news sources, just some fellow twit in his mommies basement making up crap. The title to this thread is misleading, as the actual news report says nothing about faking an attack. Just more Gupshup Anti-Jew crap. Don't look now, but your hate is showing.

Thats all they're really good at. Faking and gunning down school girls. Last time they had to aplogize for pretending palestinians were using UN ambulances for smuggling weapons, when in the pic it was merely a stretcher.

My two cents, the guy is mistaken. Yes there was a plan to bomb the cars of Iranian diplomats in Germany by the CIA using semtex. But due to some executive order and a leak CIA decided against it.
