Israeli School Expels Student For Embracing Islam

NABLUS, November 19 (IslamOnline.net) – An Israeli boarding school has kicked out a female student for embracing Islam and wearing hijab.
The students and teachers of the ‘Zionist Youths’ boarding school came to their classes to find their 15-year-old Jewish colleague wearing the Muslim headscarf in a sign that she has converted to Islam, according to the Israeli daily Maariv newspaper.

The school’s headmaster tried in vain to dissuade the student from her decision and get her taking off hijab and decided to expel her.
The student, who requested anonymity, told the daily that she was offended by the headmaster’s conversation, adding that she was ready to leave the school which she liked most. “Religion, as far as I am concerned, is more important than school,” she said. “I took offence at the headmaster’s remarks, not only for myself but for all Muslims. If a Jewish student in France, for instance, was expelled for wearing his kippa (Jewish scull cap), the action would be right away condemned as anti-Semitism,” she added. “I understand a student expelled for his/her misbehavior or being dull and inactive,” she said, criticizing the school’s decision as “racist that stirs up feelings of hatred”.

She said she was born and brought up in the former Soviet republic Kazakhstan to a Jewish mother and a Christian father in an atmosphere that “respects Islam.” “As years went by, I have reached to the conclusion that Islamic values suit me fine,” she said. “I began to read about Islam four years ago and my teachers started noticing especially after I had worn a gold necklace bearing the name of Allah in Arabic,” she said, adding that a few days later a copy of the Glorious Qur’an was found inside my room.

The Israeli ministry of education claimed that the girl was expelled for “her provocative practices and swearing at her colleagues”.
The school’s headmaster told Maariv paper that he asked the girl to refrain from her “provocative practices,” noting that he did not mind her back to school and that he would discuss the matter in its entirety with her family.

Comment:

Islam is the truth from the creator of man, life and universe and is reached via using the sences to study the reality and come to a conclusion that a creator exists. The Quran is a miracle which challenges humanity to produce a verse like it. The racist and anti-Islamic nature of the Israelis becomes apparent when one of their number converts so much for freedom of religion and choice.

And I assure you that the same will happen, may be worse, if a Muslim born student rejects Islam in an Islamic State.
There is no need to be so much critical.

I agree with yahudi, where is the authenticity of this article? I take anything published on those "Islamic" web sites with a grain of salt. A lot of it is propoganda, not backed up by facts. And it's sad to see that educated people on this board accept the article at face value. It is this emotional and ignorant nature of pakistanis that the "Islamic" fundos use to manipulate and sway judgement.

Secondly, yahudi is right again, if a "Muslim" kid in a school in Saudi Arabia decided to turn to Judaism, he would not only be expelled, but he would probably be thrown out of the country or some other extreme measures would be taken.

You mention the Islamic websites spread propaganda can you please tell me what non-Islamic websites like cnn, fox news and others spread? Yes my brother they spread pro-western propaganda, and the pakistani press? Yes again pro-pakistani propaganda, we are doing well are we not. To call pakistanis ignorent and emotional is an insult, actually to call any grouping of people be they hindus or jews as ignorent and emotional is considered to be racist and shallow. Can you please tell me the method you use to judge whether a peice of news is true, so maybe we can all apply it.

In Islam there is no freedom of belief, so apostacy is not allowed. In Judaism i dont know. Maybe yahudi can enlighten us. Also my brother Islam and Judaism are not the same, so we have different way of dealing with issues. In Israel, which is a secular state freedom of religion is propagated so why do they have a problem when someone converts to Islam, If Israel was a religious state then i can understand, also has any crime been commited?

Aahmed

The ayah about no compulsion in the deen applies to non muslims. For example you cant force someone to become muslim.

The ayah does not refer to people who already muslim.

No compulsion in the deen obviously we cannot force anyone to become muslim you agree on this point.

Then when somebody becomes muslim what happens if tommrow i feel like becoming a bhuddist am i allowed to do that, not allowed because then i become a murtad if i did that action.

We have quran and we have hadiths as our guidnace not quran alone.

Imam Nawawi in his book Al-Minhaj said what makes someone Murtad is "To sever Islam by intention or saying or action whether in mockery or through stubbornness or belief"

and it is reported in Muslim upon the authority of Abdullah Ibn Omar (ra) and in Bukhari upon the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said: "whoever changes his Deen kill him"
