Al-Khalil, Aug 16, IRNA – A Palestinian family from the West Bank town of al-Khalil has accused the Israeli authorities of indulging in ‘‘sinister and Nazi-like behaviors’’ by forcing their son to swallow a chemical substance that causes impotence and complete hair-loss.

The family of Zuhair Eskafi, 28, complained that Israeli policemen and interrogators had forced their son to swallow certain tablets that cause his head and facial hair to disappear.

The family asserted that their son was in perfect health when he was arrested by the Zionist army a few months ago.

Some Palestinian doctors believed that tablets in question were anti-cancerous agents.

The family said the criminal act was perpetrated in the month of April this year at the notorious Nafha prison.

Interestingly, a similar case was reported by a Palestinian lady in May and the victim in this case was a young Palestinian woman detained in an Israel jail in connection with alleged anti-occupation activities.

Her family appealed to the world public opinion, the Red Cross, and all human rights groups to condemn and stop the sinister Israeli practices which are in violation of the Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law.

The Red Cross office in Hebron, which had been informed of the two cases, refused to give any information on the present health conditions of the two Palestinian prisoners.

Israel officially sanctions physical and psychological torture against political detainees.

The torture methods used in Israel include beating, sleep deprivation, solitary confinement, threats of murder and food deprivation.

Yeah i once saw a program on tv about it. How nazis were all for aryans. In similar way israel doesn't give a damn about non jewish population, the program wasn't from muslim perspective, it was from armain perspective.
They also showed how israel is using less harmful methods by using rubber bullets. then they showed that rubber bullet has a pointed metal in it which if thrown with force can pass through human flesh. It was very very depressing!

The recent campaign of crop-spraying by the authorities - more than 6000 acres have been destroyed over a wide area of the Negev in the last two years - is not the only weapon being used by the state.

Over the past 12 months, there has also been a wave of house demolitions, making nearly 2000 beduin homeless. At least three mosques have also been destroyed. Another 10,000 structures are under threat of demolition.

The surge in activity is not accidental. It is the result of a government plan, personally approved a year ago by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and backed by $200 million, to force the rural beduin off their lands and into a handful of urban reservations the state is building for them.
Critics have accused the government of plotting a quiet transfer of the beduin from their historic lands and the destruction of their traditional way of life.
Professor Yitzhak Nevo, of Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheva, says: “When crops are destroyed, the population is at risk of malnutrition and hunger. And that’s what the government aims at: to use poverty and hunger to coerce the beduin to accept a townships policy.”

If the beduin can be forced out of their villages, their place will be taken by 14 exclusive Jewish settlements and dozens more private farmsteads, modelled on Sharon’s own huge agricultural estate in the Negev, known as Sycamore Ranch.

Another minister, Tzachi Hanegbi, was recently rebuked by the attorney general for inciteful comments he made in August to a Jewish community concerning their beduin neighbours: “Come on friends, get a stick and beat any beduin criminal until he leaves.”

They are denied access to all public utilities, including electricity, water, sewerage and telephones. They must generate their own electricity and have to buy and transport water from standpipes often several miles away.

But it is not just about money, says another tribal leader, Shaikh Sayyah al-Turi: “I don’t differentiate between myself and my crops. When they come and spray the crops, my feeling is that when they finish spraying my crops they’ll start spraying me and my children.””
