DURA, West Bank (IAP News) - In a brazen provocation to Muslim sensibilities, the Israeli army on Wednesday desecrated the Grand Mosque in Dura and placed the Israeli flag atop the mosque minaret.
Palestinian sources also reported that Israeli occupation soldiers urinated and defecated inside the Mosque after breaking into it Wednesday morning.
Palestinians expressed their profound indignation at the Israeli army conduct, calling it “disgusting and characteristic of Jewish disregard for anything non-Jewish.”
“How would Jews feel if Nazis hoisted the Swastika flag atop a Jewish synagogue. We have the same feeling when we see the Israeli flag atop our holy places,” said Hasan al Haroub.
“The Jews experienced German Nazism, we are experiencing Jewish Nazism,” he said with bitterness apparent in the tone of his voice.
Since the beginning of the intifada, Israeli troops destroyed and desecrated scores of mosques and churches in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
However, the sacrilegious acts received little coverage in the West, particularly in the United states.
Saif why dont you guys then start a campaign to put his in newspapers and TV, letters to editors, to teh stations, calls on talk shows. HT is a big prganization, u can do a little bit by getting ppl organized so they can showcase events like this as well.

Perhaps everyone should believe the 'garbage' emanating from Israeli tabloids which depict a one sided picture of the Israeli - Palestinian conflict. As for the above news story, I hope it is 'false' but one can never underestimate the savagery of the IDF especially if we look at the number of Palestinian children including babies that have been shot dead in recent years and the recent wholesale destruction of Jenin and other areas of the West Bank.
