I remember some Shia trolls on this site used to call Aafia Siddiqui a terrorist because she allegedly tried to attack U.S. marines in Afghanistan. I used to wonder: since when did attacking a non-Muslim occupying force become terrorism, since we all are brothers and sisters in faith and can help each other in thwarting foreign aggression? The funny thing is, these days i see some of the same people on social media urging others to join the struggle against U.S. aggression against Iran. Then there were also those on this site who celebrated the execution of Saddam Hussein, failing to see the bigger picture, that was…They divide us along Shia–Sunni lines and kill us one by one.
The fact is:
The invasion of Iraq was wrong then.
The invasion of Iran is wrong now.
And now, at a time when both Shias and Sunnis seem more aligned against U.S. and Israeli policies, the seculars and nationalists drive in under the leadership Asim Munir and appear determined on appeasing the killers of Palestinians. And that is not surprising since Pakistani as well as other Muslim lands, have a proud history of producing traitors and the unfaithfuls. Khamenei was martyred due to betrayal by people close to him who informed the United States about his whereabouts and then sent the pics of his dead body to Israeli PM as reported by New York times. In Pakistan as well, we have seen individuals who betrayed the nation when it mattered most. One example often cited is the Pakistani Army colonel who allegedly helped the U.S. locate Osama bin Laden and later moved his family to the United States, where he now lives a comfortable life.
