Israel to set up chemical plants in Bihar
NEW DELHI: Bihar is now set to become the direct beneficiary of India-Israel defence cooperation with Israel Military Industries (IMI) having bagged a lucrative contract of $140 million to set up five chemical plants to develop explosives in the north Indian state.
… The defence ministry is “dragging its feet” a bit on this contract with the finer details being worked out with Israel Military Industries. Interestingly, these chemical plants will operate on the model of similar plants set up by IMI in Ramat Hasharon. And if printed information is correct, then these plants serve IMI’s munitions plants, which deliver to the IDF and other armed forces around the world. No information was available from the defence ministry on this particular contract.
Two other major defence contracts have reportedly been inked between New Delhi and Tel Aviv in recent months. Both have been signed with IMI. One is for the supply of $12 million worth of advanced tank shells (125 mm). The other is a $40-million deal for upgrading rockets for the Indian Army. High-level military delegations are in each other’s capitals with increasing frequency with the tank shell deal signed during a recent visit by officials from the Indian Ordnance Factories to Israel. courtesy asianage

America tested it’s chemicals on the ordinary Hindustanis in 1984, I guess now it’s the Biharis turn to be the guinea pigs for the Israeli Military! (Hindustanis must come cheap at only $140 million).
