the fact that the premier political figure of Iran publicly called for destruction of Israel - that certainly came across as an implicit threat - while simultaneously being involved in an international controversy regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions and the perception of Iran’s nuclear intentions (very relevant to his comments)…all creates a much bigger controversy than anti-Amreeka rallies in Tehran or whatever.

all you people who say “oh, well that’s what all Iranians already feel, so what’s the big dela?” or whatever really don’t understand the difference between that and when it comes out of a premier’s mouth in public? especially one involved in such a large-scale controversy closely related to that issue?
