Israel is renowned for its BLATANT disregard for International Law, in recent years it has been responsible for the deaths of almost 700 Palestinian women and children.

Since the beginning of the Palestinian intifada, or uprising, in late September two years ago, the Israeli army have killed 162 women and 531 children, a senior Palestinian National Authority (PNA) official said on Wednesday. PNA Minister of Health Ahmed Shibi said that to reporters while showing a report he is intending to send to the United Nations and other countries.

Since January 2002 alone, Israeli soldiers shot dead in both West Bank and Gaza 116 Palestinian women and 226 Palestinian children, he said. Shibi stressed that most of women and children were victims of the Israeli army shells that were fired by Israeli soldiers during raids and incursions into the Palestinian controlled areas in the West Bank and Gaza.

“They were not involved in the conflict, and they were killed while they were sleeping in their homes, or practicing their normal daily life,” he added. Shibi condemned the Israeli practices on the ground against the “defenseless Palestinians,” adding **“the Israeli actions are a severe violation of Geneva Fourth Convention to protect civilians in times of war.” **

He warned of the serious medical situation in the Palestinian territories that most of the Palestinian women and children are facing under the Israeli occupation. The PNA minister called upon the international community to urge Israel to stop killing Palestinian women and children, saying “the whole world and human organizations must safe the medical life of the Palestinians, and oblige Israel to implement the international laws and the Geneva Convention.”

These deaths don’t even bother us after a while… i think we all became immune to it some time ago. The mother, killed with her children, came a day before a mentally handicapped man was shot by Israeli soldiers, which occurred a few days before five Palestinian unarmed workers were shelled by a tank and died. All in a week’s work for the IDF.

Earlier that week, a 95-year-old woman who was traveling in a taxicab near Ramallah was shot to death by a soldier. And a couple of days before that, soldiers demolished a building, burying under the rubble a 70-year-man who was inside. All told, more than 30 Palestinians were killed in the first 10 days of December, at least half of them innocent civilians. What was once an “anomaly” has become a daily event, and what the army used to investigate, it no longer even reviews.

4 condemnations of Isreals behaviour but note one jot for the Isreali innocents bombed out of existence,wether they are handicapped,blind or whatever,an innocent is an innocent.

It would be so much easier to listen to these condemnations,if the same was shown toward the inhuman attrocities,commited by so called religiouspeople(that is a joke)Palistinian terrorists.

Without equal condemnation handed out to both parties,your words will continue to fall on deaf ears,because thats all they are,words,lip service.

Do you really only see one side to this issue?because i am horrified by all the innocents who are murdered in the middle east and if people continue to see this with one eye closed,the situation is going to continue for another 53 years.

Braveheart, No of course i don't see only one side to this issue.

Just because four individuals have successively posted in this thread regarding Israel's acts against the Palestinians, does not mean that each of us four is immune to the loss of life on the Israeli side. In Islam the act of claiming one innocent life without cause, is akin to killing all of humanity. Just like you, we are horrified as well by the murders of all innocents.

i think, in my own personal opinion, that there's a massively disproportionate international response towards the Palestinian 'side'. That does not in any way negate the loss of life of Israeli civilians. The article that i quoted from is from a Jewish columnist who works with the Israeli paper, Haaretz; i'm quoting from his words:

"If the acts of killing and the arrests are marginally reported by the media, the imprisonment of the entire Palestinian people is continuing uninterrupted and unreported. Whole cities, parts of which lie in ruins, are under almost unceasing curfew; an entire population is unable to move from one village to the next or from city to city without the authorization of the occupation army - but within the Israeli public there is not even an echo of this. No one asks why, or for how long, or whether this state of affairs does not induce terrorism rather than prevent it.... No terrorist threat, however murderous, is grounds for a wholesale annulment of values; no suicide bombing can justify the daily killing of innocent people or the large-scale incarceration of others without trial; and nothing, but nothing, can justify the absence of a public discussion and the total disregard of what's going on in our backyard."

It begs the question - what sort of resolution can we hope for that will see an end to the present situation ?

Braveheart, all VIOLENCE against humanity should be condemned but your questioning why the violence against Israelis is not discussed is invalid, PERHAPS you should type in Israel in any search engine and see the dozens of one-sided articles which depict a completely different picture about the conflict... And of course not forgetting that some of the mainstream media has links to zionist groups so it trys to potray the Israelis as the VICTIMS in the conflict.. IN REALITY the Israelis are ILLEGALLY occupying Palestinian lands and are committing crimes against humanity against the Arabs. The fact that the Palestinians have the right under International Law to defend themselves against the Illegal occupiers is never discussed.

An Israeli military force incurred yesterday in Yamoun town, Jenin district and arrested 11 Palestinians after a breaking in operation of houses, while clashes took place between the Palestinians and the Israeli forces in al-Eseweyah quarters because the Israeli forces destroyed four houses in the city. Four Palestinians were hit by the fires of the Israeli forces in Nablus while the Palestinians opened fire at an Israeli position near Rafah. The Israeli forces opened fire at a sedan car in Barqin village and arrested several civilians of Ramin and Banta in Toulkarem, while one soldier was wounded in clashes with Palestinian resistance men near Ghoushe Katif settlement.

Meantime, the Palestinian “the new life” ( al-Hayat al-Jadida) issued yesterday in the occupied Palestinian territories said that the health official in the Palestinian authority said that the total number of Palestinian martyrs since the eruption of al-Aqsa Intifada in all Palestinian areas tolled 536: 470 males and 66 females, noting that all those martyrs are under 18 year old. Barqawi said on the occasion of the Palestinian child day that 29 infant died at the Israeli check points and that number of martyrs of children who were hit by the Israeli bullets during the same period was 13,610 children.

Barqawi added that the Israeli occupation forces continue the operations of demolishing houses and deliberate killing, displacing of families and preventing the access of patients and ambulances to hospitals noting that 33 Palestinian children of both sexes died because the Israeli forces obstructed access of ambulances arrival.

let me occupy several rooms in your house, force your kids to pass through checkpoints before going to the toilet and declare the corridors for my kids only .. and then one by one start demolishing your possessions and occupying more rooms..

Then let a distant neighbor provide others with the count of how many of your kids were hurt when i hit them.

There were more homocides in Chicago than deaths from acts committed by Palestinians. Why are the people still allowed to move freely in Chicago??

PA. You have reduced Palestine down to a toilet. Kids should take crap in their own rooms. If one or a few of them kids blow themselves up while you have guests over, you will be sure to build checkpoints. Until this self-pity mindset among muslims disappears, nuttin's gonna happen. Many people on this planet are living on someone else's land, what difference does it make if it happens to be Jews? Iraqis, Turks, Syrians and Iranians are occupying Kurdish Land. Kashmiri pundits have been displaced from their homes.

Let Israelis take their crap in peace. They also lost their homes. Both sides are victims in this conflict.
