Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
Although they are a major oil producing nation, they depend on foreign oil refineries for nearly 50% of their domestic refined products.
They have nine oil refineries.
Think Israeli missles can find nine refineries?
If they get hit, the Iranian economy grinds to a halt. Presdent Nutjob's little adventure does not look so bold with an angry local population. And bear in mind, the Arab world does not like this little Persian. The gas Iran would have to buy would be very expensive, and he would have to sell a lot of oil to pay.
Boom! There goes a refinery now.....
Attacking Iran is not as easy as you make it sound. It will set off a nuclear chain reaction and China and Russia won't keep quite since their economic interest get hurt. Again this will be like playing with fire. After a foolish act of attacking Iraq, only a dumb can repeat similar mistake.
Ford and General Motors are sustaining losses and many American companies are no longer profitable because of rising energy cost. On top of it, high oil prices have hurt common man. Attacking Iranian facilities would be too dangerous. Again Iran claims to have registered over 50,000 suicide bombers ready to take on world wide attack on Americans if Iran is attacked. This will plunge the whole world into a much bigger conflict after the second world. I don't think Americans would do that unless they get cooperation from Russians and Chinese and this seems to be most unlikely.

Secondly, it looks like you do understand that Americans fear death and a weak economy. They are incapable of continuing a long stretched war.
My point was that if US wasn't showing restraint, there wouldn't be a country left to be divided. The war wouldn't last long and Americans wouldn't die. Same as Israel with her enemies.
I only say this to empahisis the point that all this "Israel, US suffer from humilation" crap is silly, particularly when it is coming from the same crowd whining about the US or Israel's lack of restraint.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
No in other words, I am the Secretary of state. By the way PA, USA hesitating to attack Iran because of their blocking the Strait of Hormuz is my opinion, not some factual claim which I need to back up with proof. Its just like your claims that Israel does not have the audacity to attack Syria.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
aka,
When I said that Israel has no audacity to attack Syria then it was based on the fact that it struck against Lebanese civilians and not against Syria, even though they hold Syria responsible for supporting Hezbollah. The Yazeedi terrorists know very well that Lebanon has no control over Hezbollah as it is too weak.
The reason Chacha ji is not striking Iran is that they are ALONE in wanting to attack Iran. Not even British puppy, Blair, is not willing to join hands. And Bush Chacha knows that attacking Iran will be a devastating blow to Republican party's chances in the next election. He is already declared the most unpopular president, and according to one poll, Republicans are SO angry over his Iraq policies that they say they will vote the Democrat president next time. Lieberman, a Democrat who has been getting elected from Connecticut for about two decades, is first time facing a loss in election, only because he supported Bush on Iraq war.
And stupid Condy idiots like you come here declaring that the reason Bush Chacha is not attacking Iran is oil.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
if they aren't dead then this is yet another false flag.. Israel started stuffing it's army with reserves weeks before these soldiers went missing.. something tells me this was just a planned move to trigger the escalation.. but hey.. u can't blame them... they got tired of accumulating all these arms and no one to fight.. who better than those who can't fight back!
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel’s response (threads)
Uhmmmm, the reports of the demise of American corporations is somewhat premature…
“The US government yesterday slashed its estimate of its 2006 budget deficit by $127bn (£69bn) due to much stronger than expected tax receipts from both businesses and individuals. The Bush White House had originally forecast in February a budget shortfall of $423bn for the 2006 fiscal year but now sees it shrinking to $296bn. The deficit came in at $318bn in 2005 after hitting a record $413 bn in 2004.
The windfall of tax receipts, due largely to robust economic growth in the first half of the year, easily outweighed extra spending on the Iraq war and reconstruction after Hurricane Katrina.”

Think before you post.
Each of those powers you cited above remained super-power for hundreds and hundreds of years. How long has America been a super-power? 20 years? 50 years?
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel’s response (threads)
But America is gradually decaying and this decay process will greatly accelerate with sustained and spiralling oil prices. The next generation of obese and diseased and drug addicted and divorced and crime ridden Americans don’t offer much hope to the future of America. I will say that after five decades, it will be China which would call the shots. America will gradually drown itself fighting everywhere. This is the same scenario which happened in 17th century in Indian subcontinent when powerful Moghul empire was fighting Sikhs and Marathas and then finally it disintegrated while Marathas and Sikhs became very powerful.
How long Americans can sustain deficit budget? While China is marching towards continuous economic progress, America is wasting its resources on security and war and deficit budget.
