no not really
I was reading the battlefield assessment of the IDF and basically they are doing surgical strikes against Hezbollah and not an all out offensive
if you look at their current operation in Bint Jabil, it is very surgial not an all out offensive like US attack on Fallujah mostly because they want to leave the buildings and infrastructure standing and not destroy the city
Hezbollah was preparing for this fight for 6 years and it has proven to be tough for Israel, but Israelis are equally tough

This is not a surprise, this was known.
The IDF knew they would be back Lebanon back in 2000 when they left because of Hezbollah. Let me paraphrase a quote said by by an IDF soilder back in 2000, 'I may be the last Israeli soilder to withdraw from Lebanon, and I might be the first to return to fight Hezbollah'. 6 years of digging in and arming, Israel knew the mindset and goals of Hezbollah, don't fool yourself.

Not to you it was not, reading from all your posts since the fighting began. You were all gung ho and rather celebratory about Israel’s achievments. I was spot on from the very beginning - this is humiliation for Israel.

No I rely on the proven fighting abilities of Hezbollah, which Israel failed to defeat in nearly two decades of military occupation of Lebanon.

I don't question Hezbollahs abilities, they have prepared for 6 years. But when it's all said and done Hezbollah will be pushed back, through force or through negotiations, the latter leaving many more alive. Far to many civilians have been killed in this operation because Hezbollah wants to remain a threat to Israel, but they will be pushed back but how many dead bodies they leave behind is up to them.
