Why not? The US government essentially refused to condemn Israel, preferring instead to issue some lukewarm platitudes about how the loss of life was regrettable.

That's a bit of an oversimplification. India didn't even officially recognize Israel untill the early 1990's. For decades before then, while it was still essentially allied with the USSR, India attempted to ingratiate itself with the Arab world. This impacted its relations with Israel accordingly. I agree, of late, its relationship with Israel has gotten warmer, but India still needs to walk a fine line in order to maintain its friendly relations with trading partners in the Middle East.
That said, I think right wing Indians (the likes of which we often see here) do identify with Israel (and Serbia, and practically any other group in conflict with a Muslim population), as that is simply the nature of their mindset.

Why are Americans sleeping on this? They were itching to bomb Iraq and Afghanistan. What about Israel? Why are they being ignored? To hell with these smelly jews and smelly Americans for killing our brothers and sisters.
With attitudes like these no wonder incidents like the 9/11 take place. When the so called superior beings of justice turn a blind eye to all the injustices, no wonder citizens like Shahzad are compelled to take the law into their own hands. If dogs like Jews and Americans can kill Muslims like fruit ( Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine) then Muslims ought not to be blamed for any acts of retaliation.
This will be like this because it’s written in Holly Quran, and no Muslim should deny it. “Yahood o Nasara” were not our friends and never will be. Everything is happening as what it is described in Holly Quran and Hadith. All of these are Signs of Qiyamah. Subhanallah.

Because, janab-e-ali, india has a large number of indian population working through out the world who contribute to indian economy. By publicly not condemning israeli aggression, india stands a chance of isolation from other countries of the world (exactly what they are working for against Pakistanis) so this is a diplomatic thing india is excellent at. This situation cannot be compared with the US. And also many important members of US departments / ministries support the creation of israel so unless these members take initiative to condemn such acts, US cannot. The responsibility lies on the shoulders of those specific members.
And regarding right wing indians, tell me who is not a right wing indian in the present day india? No matter what they tell you on your face, the fact remains, they are munafiqs & all against the independent state of Pakistan. None of them is trustworthy. Especially the newer generation has the most intolerant & fascist views about Pakistan & Pakistanis. Talking out of personal experience here.

WHO Cares who condemns, talk is cheap. why do we muslims, albiet pakistanis here, want some sort of condemnation rally from all the countries, so we can feel satisfied....who cares. i dnt care much for anyone's opinions, be it the USA,or india why do we care so much for their support. we should not be this desperate. its clear why certain countries wont ever ever ever support the muslims, if the quran has said it, why do we need to feel the urge to hear it. We should never give anyone that much importance, it only gives them what they want, i say, forget the indians, who cares. concentrate on urselves, India should be the LEAST of anyones worries...
