Does evil survive forever? I do not think that it is natural and thus I believe it never survives forever. Anyhow:
I do not think that Israel has much future left (nor I believe that USA would stay as world power always as time is near).
World is developing fast and technological advancement is converging around the world. It is not far when there would be no technological differences between different world countries. Even development in arms and ammunition is not area specific and thus spreading all over the world fast.
In such environment, Israel that has plenty of innocent blood in their hand, humiliated and displaced many people living peacefully in their homeland and throughout their existence created nothing but enemies, is unlikely to survive when table is going to turn. Some ignorant might believe that table will never turn but that is illusion as history repeats itself and military, technology and economical advantage never stays in hand of one country (or people). That is law of the nature.
Actually, evidence is already showing that future. There was time when Israel use to attack Lebanon with immunity. Life in Israel use to stay as usual without significant casualties while Israel used to cause havoc in Lebanon. This time also, Lebanese are finding havoc in their life but Israelis are also finding death and destruction in their life (though not as much as what Lebanese are finding but still, they are finding).
As for USA (Israel main patron), they are also on verge of economical downfall. They are having over 700 billion dollars yearly trade deficit. Conservative estimat is that, USA also has over 15 trillion foreign owned dollars (15,000 billion dollars) invested in USA (that must be making at least 1000 billion dollars return and thus adding that 1000 billion dollars a year to American foreign dollar investment a year on top of other new additions). Only thing that is helping USA survive is because most world countries are using US dollars as trading and reserves currency. This also has limit and soon, even that may not be of any help.

** Note.** Foreigners own 8 trillion US dollars in financial assets (stocks and corporate bonds). On top of that, foreigners also own real estates, factories, USA government treasury bonds and federal debts (together, that could be another 7 to 8 trillion dollars or more in addition to 8 trillion dollars mentioned above). Worse still is that, these figures seems to be of year 2005.

This year, that is 2005-2006, USA trade deficit is another 700+ billion dollars plus all their expenses abroad. Iraq and Afghan wars are costing a lot and to keep their bast*rad child happy cost billions of dollars a year too. One also has to add on that, return on those foreign owned dollars invested in USA]
Regardless, some other factors may bring that downfall even quicker. As third world economies are growing fast (especially economies of populous countries like China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Bangladesh and Nigeria) and Euro (Currency of European Union) is breaking into trading and reserve currency, time for dollar to fall and American economy to collapse gets nearer still.
Oil is major trading commodity. OPEC alone exports over 550 billion dollars worth of oil every year at present oil price of around 75 dollars a barrel (OPEC international trade could be around 1000 billion dollars). Saddam at one time wanted to change payment from dollar to euro that could have triggered oil trading currency from dollar to euro, but Iraq lost the war and thus this threat to dollar (and subsequently to USA economy) got averted.
There is possibility that Iran might decide to stop using dollar as oil trading currency and change their reserve to euro too. With depreciating dollars, other OPEC countries may also follow Iran. If this happens, it could easily bring big jitter to the American economy and downfall near.
If China with trade of around 1.5 trillion dollars (around 800 billion dollars export and around 700 billion dollars import) and about 900 to 1000 billion dollars reserve switches to Euro too, impact on dollar would be devastating and could easily shatter American economy (that is surviving on foreign investments, foreign and local loans, dollar as trading and reserve currency).
With shattering American economy, everything from military might to political influence can change and USA may not even be able to protect their bast*ard child surrounded by those this child has not turned any stone to make enemy.
This situation will get aggravated due to American attitude and support of Israel too. USA supports Israel against their religious beliefs anyhow, as Christians believe Jews killed Jesus and Jews believe that Jesus was illegitimate child of Mary (a child born of ‘Zina’, nauzobillah). That is the reason Christian Europe always persecuted Jews and most of the time Jews found refuge amongst Muslims. Possibility is that, once American Christians would start feeling economical pinch, they would start blaming Jews for that and would start persecuting American and Israeli Jews in big way.
As regarding nuclear device, I believe that both Iran and Pakistan may have taken advantage from collapse of USSR and availability of nuclear loaded missiles and warheads plus other military devices (that was available in abundant at that time). Two countries most suited to take advantage of that fallout was Iran and Pakistan, particularly Iran as it had deeper contacts around northern Afghanistan and newly independent Russian countries (that had more access to these equipments).
Thus, if Israel has nuclear device, it is possible that countries Israel has done everything to make enemy, also have plenty of them. As time is passing, many other ME countries are also getting more sophisticated military equipments with their own research and production capacity that is overtaking Israel by far (that is obvious due to advantage in population, wealth and area mass).
Now, with such scenario waiting in near future (that is unlikely to change), what is in future can be anyone’s guess
