In 1948 750,000 Palestinians were forced out of Israel and into the Gaza refugee camp. These Palestinians are the actual owners of Israel. It is ironic that in 2012 the grandchildren of the people that were forced out of Israel are firing rockets into their own land from where their grandparents were evicted by force.
one thing i dont get about israel. On the one hand they promote secularism. On the other hand they have this law that you have to be jewish to attain israeli citizenship. That by the way is just one element of israeli hipocracy. I could go further and throw more stuff out there aswell
So are the Arab people of Israel not Israeli citizens? According to many of the pro-Israeli media Jews and Arabs enjoy equal rights in Israel, Is that not true then?
The Jews may have encouraged US to get involved in WW1 however the UK also was keen for the US to get involved and supplied information to the US that suggested that Germany was seeking an alliance with Mexico. As a result Mexico would try to get back its lost territory in Arizona, Texas and New Mexico.
Certainly the powerful Jews like the Rothschilds pushed for a commitment from UK that Palestine would be given to the Jews.
Even now Israel is trying to get the US to fight its war for it e.g Iraq by overplaying the threat. It is trying to do the same for Iran.
I don’t want to discuss Iraq and please don’t make any excuses not to answer my question. I want you to answer a question as a result of our discussion here.
you are so right…but lets continue to explore the history a bit more…
in 1947, millions of hindus and sikhs were forcefully evacuated from their lands, from their houses in punjab where they were living for centuries…a certain partition agreement took place between few parties and government of UK and because of that agreement these hindus and sikhs were forced to leave everything behind and move to unknown territory …
their lands, their houses were then given to millions of muslims who were brought from indian portion to settle down in Pakistani portion…
Yes, thousand of miles away a religious-based Israeli state was coming into being but here in our portion we were giving birth to another religious state called Pakistan …
boy i am surprised at similarities…history is so freaking brutal…
they are discriminated by all sections of israeli society if your reading american propaganda news it is no surprise you think israel treats arabs justly. Time to wake up and smell the coffee!
Yes…But the Sikhs were doublecrossed by the Hindus (Tara Singh, who was actually a Hindu under the guise of a Sikh led the Sikhs against Pakistan) to side with them and move to India. I think the whole partition was a a great political game played out with the lives of the innocent. India did not need to be partitioned. Ideas were thrust upon people by the political elite to get what they wanted.
Are you trying to justify the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians by saying that muslims, hindus and sikhs moved to different areas after the creation of 2 states?
The hindus and muslims and sikhs all lost land and were given replacement land in their new countries. In most of the cases they were given more land than they actually lost. So the net effect was they were not any worse off than before.
Again I don’t see why people have a habit of trying to sidetrack every thread about US and Israel by bring Pakistan into it.
.
The fact is that if there was no ethnic cleansing then Israel would be a muslim country. Even now if all its former inhabitants are allowed to return Israel would be a muslim country. By saying that 20% of the population of Israel is muslim you cannot wash away the sins of Israel and the ethnic cleansing that took place. Even those 20% muslims are living as second class citizens in an apartheid system.
NO…I am not justifying plight of Palestinians…you made a statement that over 800K Palestinians were evacuated from their land and israeli settlers moved in there…and you justified violence by saying that these Palestinians are the actual owners of Israel and that the grandchildren of the people that were forced out of Israel are firing rockets into their own land from where their grandparents were evicted by force. ..
and I am syaing that if we want to live in the past and use such analogy for justifying taking a violent path then let us reference to history a bit more…that is all!
i guess those Hindus and Sikhs should be justified in killing Pakistanis settlers as well …
look at your double standard my friend…in one case, eviction of Palestinians is a horrible and the most brutal thing but forceful eviction of hindus and sikhs from Pakistani punjab is “absolutely fine” as “they were given more land than they actually lost” and “the net effect was they were not any worse off than before”…allah kee shan kaya kehna aap kay insaf ka!
i mean really? they were all well off? you have any idea how many families got destroyed and were never able to come out out of plight… and even if some of them got replacement land what about the emotional pain? after all Palestinians refuse to settle down in different countries ..they want their own “land” back.
