isnt this blatant blasphemy by a molvi?

Re: isnt this blatant blasphemy by a molvi?

Makki or Madni, there is no contradiction within Quran but one must read it with a 'seeing' eye.

Re: isnt this blatant blasphemy by a molvi?

1) your idealism is in clear contradiction with the ground realities. In our society, a person who is accused of blasphemy IS NEVER FORGIVEN irrespective of whether the allegation is correct or concocted. Even if the accused repeatedly deny having said anything blasphemous, our religious elite especially is unforgiving. That person is slandered, physically and psychologically tortured or in many instances lynched. The so-called scholars openly say that blasphemy against the prophet(pbuh) is unpardonable. That stance is in clear contradiction to Quran and Sunnah as well. isn't it?

2) There is no definition of blasphemy. anything can be construed to 'blasphemous act'. you just need a crowd (of wailey mushtanday) behind you

3) btw, isn't it weird that there is no law of blasphemy against Allah whereas by literal definition, blasphemy is actually "is the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God"

Re: isnt this blatant blasphemy by a molvi?

Mullah is not running state affairs. According to ground reality you claim to know, people would have killed asia bibi before she is arrested. classic example of if propaganda is against my opposition, I will support it.
I have shared my personal experience of a case of blasphemy where charged was just spared. If you are provoking people then its your fault. I know where are you coming from. I did my matriculation in my village with two ahmadi guys as class fellows. No one ever touched them. Then again if they try to provoke people around them then its their own fault.

Re: isnt this blatant blasphemy by a molvi?

I was talking in general not specific to ahmadis.

you referred to the case of asia bibi. Isn't it true that before she made any controversial comments, she was insulted and psychologically tortured for being a Christian. wasn't she provoked to say anything bad as per our own set standards? Islam demands that we should not insult Gods of others lest they may utter blasphemy against Allah. that principle was violated in this case.
Btw, how can we make other people respect our parents? by having a stern stance that whoever said anything against them, will die or by our good and exemplary behavior so that anyone who gets in touch us could not go without saying that their parents must be very good who brought up such nice people. Respect is earned not thrust down someone's throat. In short, there is not much emphasis on following the good example of our prophet (pbuh) who is our spiritual father.

Re: isnt this blatant blasphemy by a molvi?

aap ka yeh ehsan zindagi bhar nahin bhool sakta that no one even touched them despite their being ahmadis. Great..
btw, what sort of provocation are you referring to?

Re: isnt this blatant blasphemy by a molvi?

Kchughtai, accept our sincere apologies. Pakistan a land where we were to breed open minded Muslims that lived in harmony instead has turned into breeding ground of bigots, racists, illiterates and intolerants. Exact people who Jinnah thought we would escape in a united India. Oh who wrong he turned out tobe. Jinnah must be turning in his grave.
