Well, I guess you can all kinds of beef delicacies in India....and in front of the red fort you will get the most variety of beef dishes..............and in that area if you were a t-shirt saying 'I HATE INDIANS' nobody will touch you, can't say the same if you wear an anti-pakistan t-shirt though..........How much more democracy you want !!!!!!!LOL

No you won’t be lynched. But you do not get Big Mac in India. You can go to some restaurants and order beef. Restaurants that are owned by Hindus, mostly do not server beef.
In India serving beef won’t be very profitable as most customers won’t eat. In muslim majority areas beef is served.

South India do have sizable muslim population. In Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka muslims constitute 9%, in Tamil Nadu its 3-4% and in Kerala its 25%. In Eastern India Bengal got 16%, Assam got 20%, thanks to Bangladeshi immigrants. The north eastern states are virtually converted to Christian by missionaries.

India is in no way more secular than US or UK. India will become much more secular once the education level (not just literacy) of the masses rises. A country cannot be secular if 15 % of it's population allow polygamy, everybody knows it's wrong but no body cares. I am just pointing out the flaws in the constitution, pointing out the flaws in the society is a different thing all together.

maybe the laws are secular, I know nothing about that. but the people with all the rioting and mosque demolishing and village pillaging along religious lines certainly arent remotely close to being even progressive let alone secular.

These bans are controlled by state government and not Central government.
Ofcourse there are other problems, like government unable to implement the ban.
