you can get a minivan cab, easily fit 6 people. Some cab companies have larger vans also but u may have to reserve and they also will not wait for you. you can do a metrarail/train/bus combo also .. but if you indeed have a large group and are looking at 5 ppl to a cab, its 5 bucks per person.

I have my resrevation on hold for airfare, but i won;t be coming to the convention centre if I go thru with it. I will be busy sightseeing and having fun

There’s nothing much to see there anyways but if you do want to save some money on Islamic movies/books/clothing etc etc, then definitely you should go there cuz the things there are usually cheaper.

ye i'll go the last day and buy some more turkish shawls on a forced clearance. i got each for about 7 dollars last yr i think.

ISNA conventions take place all over really....but the biggest one in in Chicago.

I am not really sure about it. I can find out and PM if you want. I always go for free cuz I get the pass to go inside so I am not sure about the price (cuz I never had to pay to buy a ticket).

well the experiences at other cities were not that good. They tried DC etc but its not the same. Even in Chicago they tried downtown one year at Hyatt and that was not too good.
Chicago is easier for them to plan because they kow ins and outs of running a convention here due to experince hosting it several times here.
rosemont is a great place, you have expensive hotels to cheap motels, something for everyone’s budget, close to the airport, dont really need a car, close to desi and arab parts of town so u can go eat, do shopping if you want.
chicago is located centrally, if its in LA, very tough for ppl from toronto or NYC to go, and vice versa.

Yeah I sometimes go there time-to-time to purchase some books. That is only if I cannot find same books in Pakistan. Since I have to buy these 2-3 books which are not to impossible to find it Pak, I have to go. I'm gonna go inshaAllah.
