Nature is racist too, only the lack of light makes everything seem black. When its dark we can't see! Yellow and white light makes things visible... white is a preferred color... racism!

melanin protects skin agianst sun . so black is natural selection.
as people move in to colder climate you loose melanin.
god does care how look he has to make you black to survive
in hot tropical areas.
Why did god create hot tropical areas? Just to create some black men and promote racism?
If a white man without melanin goes to a tropical area, he will not be properly protected against the sun! he will harm his health not because of his deeds but for the color he possesses! If thats not racism, what is?

To discriminate someone on the basis of origin, color, cast, birth and religion is racism.
How minorities are treated in Islamic States?
Please do not tell me how Islam asks you to treat the minorities. (Off course when this great theory defines people as Kafir and Pagana, I have my reservations.)
i dont care baout religen... . dont want to be a prisoner of any religen or any other system.

not to sound rude...what are you doing on this forum.
you try your hardest to put islam in a bad light, however you,ve lost every argument you put foward above. try to promote your own religion for a change, try to win ppl over, that way ...if you have a religion. if you're an atheist then are'nt you wasting time here.

If you don't want to know what "Islam says" on racism then I'm afraid I have no idea what point you're trying to make in a thread marked.. "Islams answer to racism".
Feel free to bring clarity to your posts.
Dear Hiccup, if Islam has no vision of racism, then why again and again such threads are brought up, why drumming and proipaganda?
You people really have complexes, otherwise could go ahead and refuse such words like Kafir and Pagana, but no your religion compells you to discriminate others, and dear friend this is racism, a religious racism.
If Islam is not a racist religion, why minorities feel so uncomfortable in a Muslim majority area, in Islamic States.
(No need to give me the stereotyped, hypocrite answer that all those States are not Islamic)
I have spent a lot of time among different communities. Very rare any Jew, Christian or a Hindu has shown any interest in my religion. But once I was among Muslims and every second person was curious about my religion.
Islam is a religion that very clearly tells why and how to discriminate people. Hindus and Jews also fall under the same criteria, but these people have guts to reject the old and to progress.
Progressive Muslims have no way out but to conceal the information and knowledge. They are in millions. Islamic laws do not let them open.

i am not looking for converts dont need to change anybodies religen
alwyas benefitted from wisdom of all religens but certain things
to be discarded to adapt to newcondtions and correct the past mistakes.
i will never say i found the truth because truth is continous search
and those things we dont know still out there to be found.
either you are a muslims or not . "you cant be half muslim "that kind of conept i dont have.
Believe what you want, closed mindedness is your problem not mine. I sympathise about your unfortunate experiances with Islam, I feel for you, I really do, but getting over that is your problem entirely. By the same brush Judaism, Christianity etc.. are all rascist too. Although, they will all say that their religion does not promote this man-made idea, and as religion is devine...etc...
BUT as to you being so close minded as to not appreciate this opinion, and others that I have put forth, I honestly can't be bothered any longer.
Good-luck with your quest for truth, but a heads up here. It requires an open mind and objective attitude. You cannot let the bahaviour of a peoples dictate what you search for. They are not necessarily right, and your truth may not be the same for someone or anyone elses, consequently, what you believe to be wrong may be some-body elses right, like mine for example. All you can do is search for whatever seems true to you, and respect whatever seems right to me. Appreciating my opinion. I believe they call that tolerance.
I am not excusing anyone, but I assure you racism is not confined or promoted by the Islamic faith. However I will agree with you on the fact that muslims can be racist.
"Abu Darda reported that the Holy Prophet said: Allah created Adam when he created him (sic). Then He stroke (sic) his right shoulder and took out a white race as if they were seeds, and He stroke (sic) his left shoulder and took out a black race as if they were coals. Then He said to those who were in his right side: Towards paradise and I don't care. He said to those who were on his left shoulder: Towards Hell and I don't care. - Ahmad" (Mishkat ul-Masabih, translated by Karim, v. iii, p. 117)
On the Day when (some) faces will be whitened and (some) faces will be blackened; and as for those whose faces have been blackened, it will be said unto them: Disbelieved ye after your (profession of) belief? Then taste the punishment for that ye disbelieved. (Âl 'Imran 3:106)
And on the Day of Resurrection thou (Muhammad) seest those who lied concerning Allah with their faces blackened. Is not the home of the scorners in hell? (Az-Zumar 39:60)
... The apostle said, "Whoever wants to see Satan let him take a look at Nabtal b. al-Harith!" He was a sturdy black man with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks. He used to come and talk to the apostle and listen to him and then carry what he had said to the hypocrites. It was he who said: "Muhammad is all ears: if anyone tells him anything he believes it." (Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasulallah, translated as, The Life of Muhammad by A. Guillaume, page 243)
Muslims try to understand these verses usually as being metaphorical without racist connotations. Are they??
[/quote]
Of course they are without any connotations. Maybe your Evangelical manual did not state this, but look at the status given to Bilal, Luqman and the King of Ethiopa at the time among other things. Look up a dynasty called Slave Kings of the Delhi Sultanate. Look at the causes why people converted to Islam (Hint it has something to do with all being equal as manifested in congregational prayer) then perhaps you can tell me if Islam or muslims had a "slave race" .
Dear Hiccup, Pls read your own post with patience and you will find that you have repeated all that I have said earlier, just leaving apart some abusive words, it is a pleasant surprise.
It is a nice start and may be soon you will have courage and you will study Islam (with an open mind). Yes, racism is not confided or promoted only by Islam faith.
Bloody fantosh gee,
I have no intention to discuss this any further, apart from I am happy in the knowledge that you too believe that Islam, is in fact NOT a racist religion and has been given a bad name by a majority of it's ignorant followers. I am also glad that you bid me good wishes, that was so kind of you. Thankyou once again for agreeing, it takes a big man to admit he is wrong, but I suppose you will do. And may I add, I was not being abusive, that was infact me on a good day. And this tone in which I "speak" is not a result of my religion but of my own freedom of choice in sounding like so. I'm sure that you too have your reasons.
A last fair well on this tired topic,
Hiccup.
word slavery appears in quran many times that is fact so it allows
to take slaves. i agree social situation at tthat time but muslims say quran is same for all ages. why now slavery abolished ? actually right now in sudan people are bought and sold.
