It helps to understand that crusades happened many centuries ago. The world has moved on after that.

If people fear Islam they are just **ing idiots.** Simple truth. If they fear the individuals that use Islam to push forward an agenda of extermination then they are rather simple. The comparision can be easily made with regard to nationalism in world war 1. Nationalism was the key cause of all the political miscalculations that led to the war but on its own nationalism is by no means an evil ideology.
Additionally I don't think it is our responsibility at all. After all do white people go around saying "Oh I am not a Neo-nazi?" Nope. They just ignore it. Even though far right parties have gained in popularity in the West on an increasing scale.
Define me due to the actions of a group, you are no better than Hitler and his Third Reiche.
Ya the whole world are filled with idiots apart from you. You know what that makes you. The most intelligent person in this world. Good for you..
Jokes apart it is not as simple as it seems. The longer this misconception about Islam is prevalent the lesser would be the opportunities that are available for muslims in the world. True there might be opportunities in the Islamic countries, but they are limited. Without good opportunities the youth would get frustrated and turn to bad means to secure their lievelihood. This would be a vicious cycle which would need to broken. It is matter of debate on who would be responsible for breaking this cycle. I feel that the first steps would need to taken by muslims themselves rather than blame everybody else for their present situation.

Yes, however, some of the current geo-political and global policies to some extent reflect the same crusade mindset, and when the double-standards and injustice is seen being justified then Crusade becomes that much more of a lethal 21st century ambition. The only difference now being, there are deadlier weapons at disposal.
Re: Islamophobia; suggest a counter measure

You are definitely one of them. My job is not to educate idiots. Those who are educated and have an open mind realise the reality of things. Those who are xenophobic/rascists will think what they want regardless of what I or anybody says.
