i tend to support the idea of privately run, or partially privately rum universities, because i can witness the same problem of university politization in france.
I was in french universities for 5 years...and they are as public as pakistanese ones, and suffer from that situation too:
-lack of funds, resulting in "so so" reasearch and lack of intenational aura
-politization of the poorest students, that tend to disctract them for studying
-a diploma that is loosing value in the eyes of the recruiters...
the difference is that instead of jamat islamia...there are kommies who agitates the campuses! lol
this is not only a university problem it is affecting the whole society...when everyone is tolerant, some extremist barking louder than others tend to hijack the tolerance of themselves to impose their narrow mindness on others...
sometimes tolerant people need to show determination too, so that they do not appear "weak"
