A terrorist is a terrorist regardless of whether he or she is a United States citizen or not. Had we caught him in the United States, like Nidal and Shahzad, he would have been brought to trial before being sentenced. We had ample evidence against Awlaki, some of which cannot be shared with the public because it is classified. However, he was residing in Yemen and had been trying to recruit the different Yemeni tribes. We not only had the permission from the Yemeni government to conduct such an attack, but had also their cooperation, and aid in locating Awlaki. We are advocates of democracy, you are right about that, and this is another reason why we target terrorists. Terrorists want to establish their rule through killing innocent people, using violence and intimidation to force people into accepting them as their ruler. Their tactics and sermons have even been rejected by the Arab spring, whose followers are trying to establish rule by people, not rule by intimidation and fear.

You gave us Shock and Awe where you vaporized man women and child in afghanistan and iraq, even the animals you did not leave alone, you gave the muslims special gifts in guantanmo bay, baghram air base, abu gharib where you tortured and raped people and even took pictures like holiday snaps.

You invaded illegally countries that had nothing to do with 9/11 but you saw the oil in iraq and thought lets kill as many people as possible all we care about is getting fat of the oil contracts and building projects.

i could list a 101 on american war crimes but you already know about them.

Next time you decide to lecture others on terrorism look in the mirror first!
