People in the United States burn the flag in protest. It is a way they express discontent with certain policies or certain laws. They do not develop videos in which they order other terrorists and extremists to kill American civilians and soldiers just because they do not agree with U.S government policies. We are sure that with your level of intellect, you can distinguish between the two scenarios.

Anwar Al-Awlaki was recruiting for Al-Qaeda; he urged people to kill Americans and spread his violent and hate filled ideology through various videos. He was one of the Key leaders of Al-Qaeda in Yemen and was termed as a terrorist. The suspect charged in the Fort Hood mass murder, Nidal Hassan, reportedly referred to Anwar Al-Awlaki as his mentor. Al-Awlaki directed the failed attempt to blow up an airplane on Christmas Day in 2009, and he directed the failed attempt to blow up U.S. cargo planes in 2010.

A terrorist is a terrorist regardless of whether he or she is a United States citizen or not. Had we caught him in the United States, like Nidal and Shahzad, he would have been brought to trial before being sentenced. We had ample evidence against Awlaki, some of which cannot be shared with the public because it is classified. However, he was residing in Yemen and had been trying to recruit the different Yemeni tribes. We not only had the permission from the Yemeni government to conduct such an attack, but had also their cooperation, and aid in locating Awlaki. We are advocates of democracy, you are right about that, and this is another reason why we target terrorists. Terrorists want to establish their rule through killing innocent people, using violence and intimidation to force people into accepting them as their ruler. Their tactics and sermons have even been rejected by the Arab spring, whose followers are trying to establish rule by people, not rule by intimidation and fear.

Arab spring which you talk on is the people showing their hatred and anger for the dictatorships and the brutality these same dictatorships where supported by the United States for many years.
on awakali making a youtube video is not a crime in any court of law.

so if anyone reports something it is fact we don’t require evidence any more?
