What is going on in Afghanistan, can only be understood after going in there and living with them. Then will people be able to see why the Taleban are doing what they are doing and what is their driving force.

So, let me get this straight - you feel the Taliban is justified then? I never mentioned whether or not I feel the West is Good or Bad; however, I was wondering if the comparison to the West somehow makes the Taliban so much better.

Perhaps you think a leisurely stroll for a non-Pathan Hindu in Afghanistan is a good vacation idea? No, my views on the Taliban are not based simply on those websites, but also through U.N. literature, media interviews with Taliban officials, recounts of stories by reporters in the trenches during the Afghan War in 1971 and later, and by Muslim interpretations of Shariah law as described by both pro- and anti-Muslim literature as pertaining to the Taliban.
Let us say I am completely wrong about the Taliban. What, then, is the reason for these reports coming out of Afghanistan? What is really happening there? And is it in accords with internationally accepted human rights codes (i.e. U.N. mandated)?

Afghanistan have some things to work on, but what do you expect from a country and people who opend their eyes after birth and already it had been decided for them that how its going to be closed. If i come to india and tryed to change you traditions will you do so?..well in anther thought you will change, since your culture changes with time(burnin widows and stuff) becuase you need to adapt in order to exist. Talibans have retracted the decree, and Women have been allowed to return to Bakeries. Some idiots are inherently confused as to what they want. In the process they make mockery of Religion, and not to mention the hardship they cause to women, kids, and other citizens of their country.
