now the ummah need to elect a leader to run this state,
what qualities or what conditions is required for this leader?
for example,
a)is leader mulsim or non-muslim
b)is the leader male or female
c) can a 6yr old be a leader
d) shall we have someone from the mental hospital to run our affairs
e) can we have an unjust ruler?
f) what about a slave can this be a leader
g) does it matter if a person is capable or not capable to run affairs
Any ideas my fellow muslims, what do you guys think!!!
a) a Islamic state but non-muslim leader? Would itbe possible to make all laws in accordance with the Qur'an and the Sunnah, to make positive efforts to create and maintain conditions under which it will be possible and easy for Muslims to live an Islamic life, to secure impartial and speedy justice for all, and to strive hard in the path of God?
b) can be both I guess, not sure.
C) wouldn't be reasonable
d) wouldn't be reasonable
e) well, who wants a undeserved ruler, and I don't think this is allow in shariyah either.
d) why not? there is no classes in Islam.
e) Being a leader is a HUGE responsibility, I don't think so.
you might want to look at Prophet Mohmmad (pbuh)'s life as a leader and also al-Khulafa-ur-Rashiduns' life too for precise thoughts. :-)

Abu Dharr reported: My friend (the Holy Prophet) bade me to hear and obey (the ruler) even if he is a slave having his feet and arms cut off....
Muslim: Book 020, Number 4524:
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: It is obligatory for you to listen to the ruler and obey him in adversity and prosperity, in pleasure and displeasure, and even when another person is given (rather undue) preference over you
my intention was that the slaves needs to leaves the post of slavery
i.e. his current job, then its fine to go to be a ruler
as a slave your role is to obey your master, you can not do two jobs in one go or it contradicts,
hear you are as a ruler, who has the full authority to make decisions
but then you are controlled by your master
so your whole family background can be slavery, but for you rule you need to leave that post of slavery. i.e be a freeman then go for the position of a ruler. then thers is nothing wrong
