ISLAMIC ring tones

i personally think its wrong
what do u all think??

Re: ISLAMIC ring tones

umm yeh i think if ur taking ur cell fones to washrooms and all but otherwise its ok i guess

Re: ISLAMIC ring tones

One problem with Ring tones including Quranic verses is that you would have to interrupt the recitation in order to answer the call. Secondly we humans usually don't like anything that disturbs our sleep. Imagine if the mobile starts ringing while one is asleep and one gets irritated (unintentionally) by the verse that is being recited...?!

Re: ISLAMIC ring tones

I agree with STP...and kalli billi I didnt even think about that @ ringing in the washrooms.

However keep in mind it's all about ones intentions. I am sure when people pick an Islamic ringtone for their phone they do it with the best of intentions.

^
while the hadeeth "innamal Aa'maalo bin niyaat" is there to look at things from that perspective, the context of such things must be seen in another hadeeth simultaneously: "Innamal Aa'maalo bil khawaatim"

i agree with this and think that we should stop people who do it
actually sometime people dont think in this way ..they think that they r doing good thing but indirectly they r not

Re: ISLAMIC ring tones

I think it's wrong too, because there's a verse in the Holy Qur'an that says:

Wa-itha quri-a alqur-anu faistamiAAoo lahu waansitoo laAAallakum turhamnoona
Translation: So when the Qur'an is recited, **listen* to it, and be silent that you may receive mercy.*

Surah Al'Araf: 204]

So that means, whenever the phone would go off, you would have to listen to the whole verse to be recited. Another thing is that it's not allowed to cut off any verse being recited, which you would do in case you would pick up that phone.
